It's only Veteran's Day in America, as far as I know. It is known as Remembrance Day or Armistice Day in a few other countries. I wouldn't say it was loads, though. Also pretty sure that Rutger is not in one of the countries that observes it.
Even though I'm American, my job was one of many that does not get days off for holidays, except that Christmas thing. I hear that's celebrated in loads of countries, though. ;)
