I'm thinking about picking up the first Vampire Hunter D book.

I have also been thinking about reading these. But I never did because I was scared that something might be lost in the translation that makes the book suck.

The first book is pretty good actually. I'd say better then the first movie was, but don't get the manga that just came out based on the book. It is very porno.
I don't know about any of the others as I only have the first one.
