It looks like a painted box turtle. In which case, that's sadly not as uncommon to have happen as they make it out to be. Those turtles are really easily affected by toxins in the water supply.
Though I do have to wonder what the heck they were thinking with the soundtrack on that first video. TLC? wtf? huh!?
