I dunno, it's like they're taking a kids' show and trying to turn it into an epic action movie/blockbuster. I mean, it might work if they based it on Beast Wars or the later Transformer spinn offs, as those had a more serious note, but basing it on the original, which was "Kiddy" to say the least, seems a bit akward to me.

The more I see of it, the less promising it looks. This looks WAY too human-centric.

This is really obscure, but everytime I see Michael Bay's name tagged on a movie such as this one, I think of that song "Pearl Harbor sucked" by Trey Parker from Team America where he sings: "Why does Michael Bay get to keep on making movies?"

The thing with the massive helicopter and the aircraft carrier was VERY cool. The rest looks a bit scary for a transformers movie... But this is only a preview.
As long as the bots don't look too organic. That would be bad.
I had to laugh at the scene with those STUPID Osprey VTOL aeroplanes though... Who needs killer transformers when your own machines will kill you anyway?

They've confirmed that Peter Cullen will be reprising Optimus. Hopefully Frank Welker will be Megatron, if not Danny Kaye.
For the movie, they have 5 confirmed Autobots. Optimus as a blue semi, Ironhide as a black GMC pickup, Jazz as a Pontiac Solstice, Ratchet as a military Humvee, and Bumblebee as a Chevy Camero.
With the Decepticons, Megatron is a Cybertronian jet, Starscream is a F-22 Raptor stealth jet, Brawl is a tank, Bonecrusher is a mine-sweeping Buffalo, Blackout is a MH-53 Pave Low helicopter, Barricade is a police car, Scorponok is a giant mechanical scorpion, and Frenzy is somekind of small infantry robot.
Hopefully the "puny flesh creatures" don't end up getting too much airtime. Nothing screwed up Transformers: Cybertron more than those three annoying kids who should've been squashed in the first episode. Even the primitive humans in season 3 of Beast Wars were pointless.

I remember what those helicopters are called now! Super stallion! ...or something like that... I used to know all the names of those sorts of things. Ack, they use the stupid numbers now though don't they? In the 80's you'd NEVER hear about C 130 cargo planes! Jeebus, whatever happened to the good of Hercules?
-('course they always had numbers, but the names were more popular then)
Anyway. The human stuff reminds me of how the humans were in the proper cartoon series.
I can't believe that about Bumblebee though, that's terrible! he was a Volkswagon...
And poor old Starscreem being a Raptor... It looks like an overwieght F-15 Eagle, which is what he used to be, but they're still both hideously ugly examples of warplanes. :(
Ha! He should've been a Russian jet like a Mig-29 or an Su-30! They're always "bad guy" jets AND they look f**king cool.
-(Russians don't usually give their stuff names;))
That's enough childish fanboy stuff out of me for one day.

Hey, at least Steven Speilburgs going cut out some of the crap they are going to try to force down our throats. Im a personal fan of Stevens movies and even if hes executive producer im sure he's try to make it better.
Also Transformers movie Looks cool, love the fact they put action in it, glad it has a decent story line (And hopefully there wont be any dumbass script changes -_-)

One transformer that I'm hoping to be in the movie and that's sound wave. I mean come on! Sound wave was pretty awesome. You can't say that sound wave wasn't awesome. Or maybe devastator. Now that be cool to see. But then again it might be a bit hard to do. But hey with Speilburgs on this it just might be possible.

You know what it reminds me of? Spielbergs's Maximum Overdrive.
That movie totally needs an evil clown truck! Sequal, sequel, sequel!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YEAH!
Plus, I want to see what that killer lawnmower turns into.

How the f--k is Soundwave supposed to be in this?! How inconspicuous does a portable mini-cassette player look in 2007? Even Radio Shack doesn't carry them anymore!

He could be an ipod... Rememeber how they used to change size? I remember the stupid tripple change bots... I had one that could be a jet fighter or a freaking aircraft carrier! I thought they'd never have it in the cartoon... But they did! A normal sized autobot, who could be a normal sized jet fighter, could also be a FULL sized aircraft carrier sailing on the ocean that all the rest of the autobots were using as a base. Stupidist thing ever.
He wasn't the only variable size one either. ;)
Soundwave could also be one of those sound weapon trucks they use these days, if that's more plausable: A full sized truck or Humvee with a special sound weapon speaker system on top of it. Those are actually used by the US millitary so it'd fit perfectly.

Too messy
I mean in addition to the 'robots' designs, the lighting and cammeras don't help at all. I can barely see a thing
ok time to make fun of it. Transformers the movie, year 2017:

If you're gonna do a movie, then do it right. Have we learned nothing from Uwe Boll?
Bumblebee is a Bug, not a camero. And what the hell is Scorpinok doing with the old transformers? He wasn't around until beast wars.
If this movie bombs, all my faith in Hollywood will go with it.

I've got faith that the movie will be entertaining.
I try and keep in mind that the original series wasn't necessarily "deep" or "compelling"; it was basically a 1/2 hour commercial for some very cool toys. I think Bay is about right for the kind of person to get for a project like this; his movies do tend to run on an "80's Action Cartoon" logic in the first place. He-Man could have walked onto the set of Pearl Harbor and I wouldn't have given him a second glance.
