1. Collective Soul
2. Ayumi Hamasaki
3. Weezer
4. Shiina Ringo
..you know, it's hard for me to fill up those slots. I'm really unhappy with the radio right now. It seems like the stations that play my style of music only play bands I don't like mixed with 90's music that I'm tired of. Let the 90's die! The songs were good, but it's over.

I just want to know, can I post a second list of my top 5? I made a mix-cd of my favorite song by 15 of my favorite artists. If not, that is okay.
I really don't give a shit, dude. Go ahead.

Tough question. The only bands that have had real staying power in my mp3 playlists are...
~Neutral Milk Hotel
~They Might Be Giants (went to one of their live shows once-- excellent)
~Talking Heads
~Gorillaz
~The Flaming Lips
I know. I'm miserably mainstream.
~IJ
PS: While I was at Comic-Con, my Aunt Chris and Uncle Lee (whom I was staying with) were considering going out to the Del Mar horse racetrack on Friday night. By sheer coincidence, at the exact moment they were discussing this, I was reading an article in the paper about how the Flaming Lips were going to be playing at Del Mar racetrack that night (the show being free with admission to the track itself). Sadly, I only recalled this five minutes later, and by that time I was in the car with my dad. And he thought the Lips' live shows (confetti, giant balloons, disco balls, people in rabbit costumes, fake blood everywhere) sounded weird. So it was a no-go. Dang. Now I have to wait until September 23, when they come to the more local Pimlico racetrack. But still!
PPS: Suzi, we need to start a Jeff Mangum fan club.

Nighthawk, you have the exact same tastes as the majority of my school.
My "favorite" bands change constantly, but these usually stick around:
Muse
Say Anything
Metric
Neutral Milk Hotel
Modest Mouse
The Presidents of the United States of America

Well of course we've got the kids who think they're emo, but really not. It comes with having a small school. Everyone either likes Led Zeppelin or stuff from the 70s.
