THP8 recently received 8/10 in OPS2 UK and I think this game deserves a 7 or 6. The game was terrible, story mode was too short, it's lost loads of features and most of the more famous skaters don't say anything. Hell I thought the story would more be along the lines of spend a bit of the game getting onto project 8 and spend the rest on it, but no, once your on project 8 thats it, story's complete, and it only took me one day to finish. The only thing it has going for it is graphics, but so what, most people have learnt extreme graphics aren't the main focus of games anymore. I don't recomend getting it, it has no replay value.

The only good Tony Hawk games were the early ones. After that, the series turned to crap. All it is, is the same old thing over and over again in each game. They just make it seem new with "pretty" graphics and "new" characters.

I've quite enjoyed the Tony Hawk game series, but I've always been disappointed in the Story Modes. They've always been really short and easily beatable in the one-day time period. Man... it's a bummer that Project 8 turned out to be such a failure. I mean... if good graphics are the only things going for it, then I definitely won't consider buying it. Thanks for the heads up senor man! ;)

The last Tony Hawk game I played was the 4th one for PC. It was fun, but I decided after I finished that I didn't need any more. It sounds like it was a good time to leave the series since many people say it went downhill afterward.

Did anybody try Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam for Wii? I heard it also was a pretty poor game.

You can only completely disregard physics for so long!

I agree with that this game just had more appeal in the beginning. It tried to evolve, and just couldn't really go anywhere. I mean, it sure beats out just about every other sports game, which in my mind are really just roster updates. The thing is though, this series wasn't marketed as a sports one, so I don't really know where you'd put it.

If I had any suggestions, it would be that they make the next one as realistic as they can. It'd be a nice change up, and send back to the skate roots it holds.
