I'm starting my first strong, planned-out comic, Blackfell.
It is about ghosts, so depending on this, I would have to go to the trouble of transulcent-ing the people.
Should I use tones (if so, how??)
Should I colour and shade it on Photoshop?
Should I hand-shade it (crosshatch etc.)

You can use a drag and drop digital toning program like Manga Studio(google it). It's the choice for many artists, and looks professional.
