It's certainly a vague cult. I mean, we know the sillier aspects of their beliefs (thetans, volcanoes...), but all religions and cults have silliness in them like that somewhere. The strange thing is what they actually get out of it on a day to day basis,- it's not like a Christian who has a bible and thinks about what Jesus would do when in doubt.

I still don't understand what Scientology is all about. I looked up the definition of it at Dictionary.com.....

Yeah right...."attainment of brotherhood". Tom Cruise nearly punched that guy who sprayed him with water as a joke because he was so "courteus" as to give him an interview, and then the guy was arrested for it. Sssuure. He's a real man of the people; one with everyone.

That, and how they actually have lawyers ready to sue at any given point. You also can't forget that the murder/"suicide" cases involved with the cult, but I don't really think this will be a major religion considering it has only hit major cities with famous people and/or rich people who can afford all the money they have to pay forward to pyramid scam.

haha, i must admit i have the tiny hope that tom cruise is just acting when he's talking about scientology because he has some lifelong contract with them or sumthing, but in fact thinks of it as BS.
