After sporadically self Publishing for nearly 16 years, I accumulated a fair share of comic pages. So when I got online about a year ago, I had a lot of buffer and the ability to update daily.

I am currently working on my December comics, and it is likely that come early 2008, I'll have to adjust my update schedule.

I currently can complete about three pages a week, with the day job, the kids and my other MWF comic Weirdlings.

I am wondering, should I move to a MWF schedule for Phineus:Magician for Hire, or should I post a teir (Half a page at a time), continuing on a daily schedule?

I'm just trying to get a concensus, to help me decide.

Thanks in advance,
Phinmagic

if you have readers then a MWF will work fine but if you are trying to attract more readers then i would go with the latter of the two.

ditto to what vgman said, though I think you want to keep a consistent schedule.

I have a decent readership between here and Comic Genesis. I just want to steadily increase over time. What ever I choose, I'll do it consistantly.

Daily updates are the most manly. I'd suggest trying to aim weaker material towards the middle of the week. I've noticed I get less views tues-wed-thurs then I do on other closer to the weekend days. That is until school starts back, then my site becomes popular for college (and *sigh* high school) students to show off to one another.

Its important to know your limitations. If I don't do the daily updates, theres potential for me to slack off, or if I have a weak page it can be a bigger problem to a comic that has 50 pages over the coarse of three months, as to one out of every 50 pages from a three month daily comic, thats three bad pages.

Daily works for me. I get decent numbers on my stats page. Usually around 500ish daily. I'm confident that I can double that by the end of this year. Of course, it spikes and declines. Yesterday I had 450. Thats the lowest I've had in awhile. Just try and stay fresh really. If a page bombs and your daily, you can always promise that the next one could be better, or could be worse and you can laugh at me for failing. Either way, you get people to come back to your site which is the main thing in the online world. Right?
