I want to make my banner super-fantastic, and I think I CAN... perhaps... with YOUR HELP! what are some design tips for making the most of those 468x60 pixels?
Like, what colors are most eye-snagging yet non-eye-offensive?
yesterday instead of reading Michel Foucault's "What Is An Author?" I designed these tower ads for fun, and maybe I can use some of the color-schemes, pictures or taglines in a banner?

Or any general advice would be ten thousand times appreciated in an insanely intense appreciative manner.

thanks guys! but actually I was just wondering if you had any advice for designing banner-ads... you know, 460x60 ones. Like, what are good colors/what kind of images will make viewers more inclined to check my comic out?
