Well, you know, God totally wrote the bible, nothing in the bible is symbollic, the creation story totally wasn't written to the knowledge of the people in that time, and there is absolutely no way that, assuming the creation story IS true, the theory of evolution and the Book of Genesis can't intertwine. Because it's ludicrous to think that a being like God would live in a world where time passes differently and a couple million years here would be a day in heaven, I mean, that's just crazy talk. -_-
Although, it's completely understandable that Behemoth isn't just a creature from Hebrew mythology and is absolutely, beyond a shadow of a doubt, a dinosaur. -_-
These people are pathetic. I go to a Catholic school and, guess what? I was taught the Big Bang theory! Oh my God! Blasphemy! In Religion I had to write a paper comparing and contrasting Evolution and Creationism, even the Deacon teacher who is borderline fundamentalist believes in Evolution! (Of course, I guess he isn't fundamentalist unless he believes in Creationism )
The "Behemoth is Dinosaur" song was pretty catchy, though.

to argue biblically:
God told men to write the bible, which is why it's so biased towards women. if there were things left out, like Jesus's teenage years...then there could be other things left out too.

I feel sorry for the kid who actually believes he'll someday get a Nobel Peace Prize for disproving evolution. I'm kind of iffy on the 50 million people over the age of 18 are creationist number, as well. I have yet to visit a region where there is anywhere near that ratio of creationists and I've lived both in the North and in the deep South.

I would think if you take your religion that seriously, you'd have more reason to hate yourself.
Would you say there is a 2:1 ratio of non-Creationists to Creationists there? Thestat in the video was for peopleover the age of 18 and the most I've seen would probably come in at about 10:1 with the more urban areas coming in with a much higher ratio of non-Creationists. I'd be willing to admit that there could be as many of 20 million, but 50 just seems incredibly high to me. That would make the ratio something like 3:1 for the entire country and I highly doubt one out of every four Americans is a Creationist.

As strange as it may sound, the guys on the video did have some good points. If you read the bible, it doesn't mention dinosaurs and such, but then again the bible seems to change from version to version.
Basically, the bible is there to teach the ways of the lord and act as a sort of guide to establish your personal relationship with him/her. It doesn't have to be used to prove wrongs or rights in this day in age, unless they are directly questioning one or the other. Who care if evolution is real or not? The subject was not in the bible, but in mainstream society; so people want to bring it into question. If that's the case, then there are alot of things that can be brought into question.

what i don't understand is that today is a diferent time than when the bible was written, so it's getting harder and harder to fit the bible in today's context. i mean i know there are some things that still applies like "murder is bad". but also there are several themes in the bibles such as slavery, incest, and opression of women that doesn't really fit in today's society
...the bible was not written to counteract against genetic research or unlocking the secret of the the andromena galaxy. it's not an all purpose book when it comes to scientific research. a bible doesn't help you calculate the exact rocket forumula to escape earth's gravitational pull.
it's a book about morals...wrapped in stories

I grew up in Kentucky. I know what you mean. Between that and being cursed to go to hell for reading for fun, I'm kinda cynincal towards organized religion.
I don't have a problem with people who believe in creationism as long as they don't get in my face but they are so agressive. I get apprehensive because they're all up in my face and whatnot.
Those poor kids.
Where the spork does that guy get off saying he's gonna win the nobel prize, lol? Ah well, to each their own.

When you look at the bible and you look at ... Evidence, SCIENTIFIC EVIDENCE, it just makes sense! It's easy to explain to your children, you know? The flood, and the... Um.. the fossils that are found. It just makes more sense to me!
Scientific evidence of creationism? Uh, where? I've never heard of it. Oh, I've heard people like you SAY that there is scientific evidence, but never actually heard the proof.
Idiot.
And she was the LEAST reprehensible person on that video. And yes, I clipped the dumbest look I could find of her. :P

Who care if evolution is real or not?
That's not the issue. The issue is that people are purposly ignoring the scienfitic evidence that shows that evolution exists. It's even been observed in lower level organisms, especially bacteria, since the theory was created.
But creationism isn't a theory. It can't be proved by the scientific method. It's just an idea that people have that they happen to label as a theory because that's what their churches tell them to do.

OMFG! That man is an Australian... When are we going to kill off all the idiots? We got rid of Steve Irwin, now we just need some kind of moron seeking stingray or something. I'm SO embarrassed that someone like him comes from Australia, I'm mortified! I feel I have to apologise for my country, I'm so sorry that we sent this idiot over there to make people stupid. :(
Behemoth isn't a dino, May as well say that dragons are dinos. It's just a character in mythology.

To be fair both creationism AND evolution are theories. Evolution just happens to be a fact based theory, whereas creationism is a faith based theory.
To be honest, I wouldn't care if creationism were taught in THEOLOGY class, or even an ideology class. But it needs to stay out of science class. Because it has no scientifc nerit.
But they are both theories. One is just hair-brained. ;)

Evolution is a theory, creation isn't, it's dogma. That's like saying The Fall is a theory, or Adam and Eve are theories, they're just part of the Judao-Christian mythology and dogma. They just call it a theory to make themselves feel better. ID is a theory, it's not a very good one, but that one is a theory.
Still, that guy does come from here. Ah well, at least he's not here anymore!

hahahaha! It's funny because bohemeths were bronchiosaurs who would pretty much kill themselves if they even tried to eat grass because shifting the weight would crush their arms. Yes, folks, the bible was meant to be taken seriously because god knows raping a hooker is more holy than masturbation.
But in all seriousness, I think the bible's a good way to guide your life. NOT LITERALLY, and not the old testament either. Just the, "hey let's not kill each other" and the "dude, you're a homeless naked dude. Take my coat and cover up. Seriously. No one wants to see that" parts.
As a matter of fact, that video actually inspired me to write a song. A song about not believing in anything, not even athiesm. Because what's the use of believing in anything if people are just going to hate you for it?
