I can finally put graphics on the screen, move them around and animate them (that's a lot of work!!!). While I've got quite a bit (that's an understatement) to learn about using this language, I've had ideas swimming around the gunk people like to call a "brain".
One of these ideas I was thinking about is a rather large 2D fighting game with a roster populated by many of Drunkduck's popular characters. And it would be online. Of course I'll probably have to screen each character that's suggested to me to see if he/she/it is suitable for such a game. I bet the online stuff will be a logistical nightmare though... :(
Am I thinking too far ahead and too far high? Or is it great that I have something I want to shoot for later?
Now if only there were some medicine to empty my overactive mind...

I don't know much about DarkBASIC Pro, but I do know a Drunkduck fighting game would be AWESOME. XD

try making the game local, before moving on to online. :P
that just seems like a nightmare in one giant leap.
i like the idea though.

That's the plan. I have other things to experiment with, such as AI and pixel perfect collisions (though maybe I should use hitbox collisions instead as the computer would have less trouble with those).

Definitely sounds like it would be very fun if it could work.
"You tell yourself to just
enjoy the process," he added. "That whether you succeed or fail, win or
lose, it will be fine. You pretend to be Zen. You adopt detachment, and
ironic humor, while secretly praying for a miracle."

This idea popped into my head after remembering a post I read in that Fightsplosion thing... where one writer was whining about how his character SHOULD HAVE won... When I started experimenting with programming in DBPro I wanted a goal to shoot for as a motivation to keep going... or something like that.
It could be fun. And it could also be a headache (think of the size of the fight roster!). O_O
Just had an evil thought; creating a character who great resembles one of the DD posters who "throws fire from his hands", has a "revolving feet" move, and a "jumping flame fist" anti-air attack... >:D
