Another one? And in theaters? I'll pass like the last two.

Tweens these days just wouldn't know good entertainment if it smacked them across the face. It is kind of unique in the sense that this probably the first trequel to make a theatrical appearance when the original didn't. Of course, that's not saying that it'll be better, or even good, by any stretch of the imagination...

I wouldn't limit it to teens these days, actually. When I look back, I realize that some of the things I watched don't exactly scream "quality". Especially anything that paraded under the TGIF banner. I guess all you can really do is wait for kids to grow out of stuff like this.

Not to defend anything TGIF, but I know most of my friends watched those shows back in the day. None of us would ever claim that they were of any particular quality, even back then, though. It's just, what else was there to watch on a Friday night? Hell, Friday lineups are still pretty lame on the broadcast networks. I don't recall ever hearing anybody praise shows like Family Matters and Full House, but everybody watched them. Actually, it's kind of sad now that I think back on it.
I do agree with korosu to some extent, I just don't think the deterioration of good taste in America is limited to tweens.

Disney's probably going to go more into cheesey teen movies than animated flicks.

I work at a day care center and High School Musical is really popular with the six and under crowd. Which means I unfortunately know the names of all the characters and the songs practically by heart.
I'm going to leave before this third one comes out.

I have nothing against high school musical. It is a mediocre musical and there is nothing more that needs to be said about it. The fanbase on another hand is a whole different story.
I'm so tired of hearing my classmates(who are 16 by the way)tell me that the high school musical is that BEST musical ever. But when I ask them about other musicals they tell me they don't like them because and I quote "they have too much singing".

Disney makes them because they make money. Just because something makes money though, that doesn't make it high quality.
And other musicals having too much singing? They probably have too much talent in them as well.
