I say that we need more awards because we have so few and people love awards don't you so maybe we need to ban together and fight for what is rightfully ares add.

Character specific awards would be quite cool, like best Hero, best Villian, best anit-Hero etc.

The reason we didn't add as many awards this last time around was because after a while it became hard for us to keep tabs on all of them and keep things moving since there were only about 5 of us consistently running things. Once you start adding character specific stuff and whatnot it got to be an incredibly long ballot so we kept the character specific awards relatively few. They were there though and depending on what sort of help and conditions we get next year it could be a possibility to add them.

I don't think there is a strip comic award. Maybe I'm mistaken because it seems like an obvious award to have.

I held my own awards 2 years ago. The Wakon Yosai awards honors the years best Wakon Yosai.... Power-up comics won though actually.

Nick, expect to see the planning start hardcore in the summer. Late June, early July.
The nomination process in 2008 took place the first week of August.
After the top five in each category were determined (about two days after the nominations closed), we released the winners. The category panelists worked amongst themselves to choose a winner & PQed to me privately. I worked with the presenters to get pages done (they didn't know the winners).
Then the presentations were released all through the first week of September.
I'm really excited for it to start up this year ^.^
