You'll notice that pageviews coincide closely with school schedules and working hours.

Weekends have always been low for me too, particularly saturday. M-W-F seem to be the liveliest.

yeah that might be so but its opposite for me...all my time for drawing/reading webcomics is during the day...then at night im working.

I got 40 yesterday and 30 today. Which is not that bad for a weekend. I get most of my viewers on update days and any weird jumps on non-update days or weekends are caused by people going through the archives.

I think Nickguy updates everyday, but most people are probably used to comics updating only during the week? Also maybe they aren't stuck inside so they just pick back up on Monday?

Yeah I do actually update every day. maybe ill stop updating on the weekends.

Recently I've been noticing my Fridays are kinda low, my Saturdays are horrible, but Sunday can sometimes yield alot of pageviews.

It could be also people reading comics at work rather than working, or perhaps needing something to relax with after work?

maybe thats it...the computer isnt a very good format for reading comics sometimes lol.

I've noticed the same thing NickGuy, I get well over 100 during the week, and on the weekends its like 20 to 50. Maybe people just don't like to sit down and read comics all weekend.

My pageviews vary a lot (sometimes a reader will go through the archives on the weekend), but the unique hits have a distinct pattern that is steady on weekdays and drops on weekends.



Keep in mind that I update M - F, so that is probably a factor, but part of the reason I chose that update schedule (down from daily updates) is because I was seeing that trend anyway both in hits and in comments.

I'm not entirely sure why this last Saturday was highish. I did have an update that day (which I rarely do), but it usually doesn't affect hits much.

While I just joined I can't comment on trends, I did notice the weekend went differently then I anticipated.

Week days were all very close in hits, then Saturday hit and it was my worst day, the opposite of what I thought would happen. Sunday came and went and it was my biggest day thus far, and heck it beats me, I forgot an update on Sunday, while every other day I had an update.

It could just be because everyone is pooped out from partying on Saturday that come Sunday they all decide instead of more partying they will hang out online. XD

Weekends are low for me. I only post T and Th-- early on, those would be my hot days... but as readership has grown. I've noticed that it gets pretty evenly sprinkled on weekdays, with some surprise hot spots on mondays and fridays once in a while. Weekends still typically tend to be the lowest....

I only update on fridays and weekends are always low for me. The rest of the week is pretty good.

So I'm not sure update day has anything to do with it. I think the grand majority aren't trolling DD on the weekends. :)

During the weekends, people would rather go out and have a social life rather than sit down and read comics.

And those who don't have a social life would rather play hours and hours of video games. :)

I think the people who most read webcomics are doing it sneakily at work or school. Little five minute breaks every now and then to ease the pressure of the daily grind.

Sounds alot like me xD. I read comics in school(college) during break sometimes. I gotta get my daily dose of DD comics ^^;.

But I think everyone experiences a bit of downtime on their comics during the weekend. Most would rather hang out or something on Saturday and Sunday.

I was warned weekends are always low, that is why I moved my update day to be Monday rather then Sunday.
Personally, I do most of my computing at weekends, what a freak I am!

Every now and again a week-end day will blow the rating doors off--but generally the best days are during the week. Myself, I tend to work all week and cruise the duck on week-ends cause its about the only time my time isn't structured! So if you got a good rating one week-end, maybe it's cause I was reading your comic!!! Okay, so, maybe not, but I do read a lot of comics on week-ends.
