Did you hear the news? The superman/superbiy trial is gonna happen on may 13 2008. The siegel family and dc comics is still fighting for the rights to the character. Superman is a beloved hero and we don't want him to leave the comic book universe. If you go to www.supermanhomepage.com, it will tell you about the trial. So give me a comment about what you think.
Legacyhero and i are doing a Kid Intense/Hero Force crosover which will be a blast. Also, we are teaming up for a Kid Intense movie. Tell me what you think of the crossover and the movie we are teaming up.

I'm not sure why exactly, but I'm rooting for the Siegel family. I wouldn't mind seeing DC lose the rights to Superman. It would be an interesting development in comics history, to say the least.

Not gonna happen. If they're lucky, they win the rights to Superboy, which is why every Superboy character is either dead or bumped up to "man" status.

As far as comic content is concerned, this is a non-event. Whoever wins, Superman will stay in comics. If DC wins, nothing changes. If the Siegels win, Supes is such a huge property, they'll license the character to a publisher (and most probably back to DC, since they'll have the deepest pockets!)

The real importance of a win by the Siegels (oh, please let it happen!) is that it would be a further acknowledgement that by denying creators ownership of their own creations, the comics industry is guilty of unethical business practice, routinely using its duopoly to impose "unfair terms" on those without the ability to negotiate on an equal footing.

Several high profile cases in the music industry (Elton John, FGTH, George Michael) have successfully challenged the "standard" industry contracts imposed upon newcomers and it would be wonderful to see similar challenges being successful in the comics industry.

They already won the rights to Superboy. Multiple times. It's DC that is trying to get the ruling overturned on appeal.

I didn't think the Superman rights were up until 2013? IIRC I read a story about the Shuster family readying its claim for 2013. I didn't think Superman was going to be much of an issue for awhile. And the Superboy mess is still very tangled, especially considering the precedent set by the 1950s ruling that did award the rights to Siegel and Shuster.

Meh, they can have Superboy! And while we're at it, why don't we give 'em Krypto as well? :P

Dude, no! Superboy rocks! Tactile TK! Being a total jerk! Accidents involving Wondergirl and X-ray vision!

But a resounding whatever about Krypto.
