You see, as an artist sometimes I need to draw in logos, stuffed animals and advertisements in my comics, thusly I developed Shmoofy the Bear. Eventually he found his way into all of my work, so I decided "let's see if anyone else would do the same" and that lead to the formation of the Shmoofy experiment. Essentially, a log of whatever comics and artwork he makes an appearance in. He's easy to draw and can fit in a lot of comics, and people have used him as a core-part of a comic or even a somewhat hidden reference.
All that's required (aside from you drawing him into a comic in some way) is a link to the Shmoofy experiment page in your author's notes for that comic, and then shoot me an e-mail with the details and a link to the page he shows up on. Not only will I link you on the Shmoofy experiment page, but you'll also possibly get a guest comic/fan art out of it and definitely a blog-post on my site's home-page.
When you think about it, it's quite a convinient way to fill up posters, toys, ads and tv-screens in your comic, and any other number of things you can come up with.
So, anyone interested in getting some free ad-time for their comic? All you need to do is help a friendly little bear get around the internet. :) So, catch the Shmoofy-fever... join the Cult of the Shmoof... Please contribute!
