you most likely already know this, but i hear that RPGs were early action games on arcade machines that were made with the standard RPG fighting style because not much action could go on the screen at any one time (this just what i've heard, i have no idea if this is true or not) .
im funny, but not good at drawing and i hate emos and depressed people (you know who you are)

It's bullshit. RPG fighting originated in PnP RPGs like D&D. The game companies copied it.
