The passion kinda. Because Mel Gibson sucks so damn much. And saw two when John died that was tragic. I'm going to miss the sound of his voice as he traps his victims and forces them to kill other people. That poor poor man. May he rest in peace.

The Iron Man. It both appeases my boyish love for robots and kill-o-machines and the like, and stabs my girlhood in the brain with a spear of emotions which lead to me hiding under the blankets so nobody sees me cry (but I'm a girl so I shouldn't HAVE to hide)! That's why it's best to be a girl. So you can cry at movies and still like kill-o-machines. /Offtopic?

Yes... I did... it's been so long that I said it wrong.
And I had been playing Guitar Hero the previous day and the song Iron Man was stuck in my head.

Another two titles that almost did the trick:
-Edward Scissorhands (the story is so very sad, and that soundtrack just to beatiful, I can't describe it...damn you Burton and Elfman!)
-Dragonheart (the ending. The rest of the movie wasn't too good)
-Once Upon a Time in the West (The Flashback scene, again the music helped me being very sentimental)
And I also got wet eyes when I watched Inuyasha episode 15

Can we please just ban Kain already?
Thirded. Although it is kind of funny to have Tater Salad make fun of him.

Uh, fourthded. You know, some forums open their doors to everybody who wants to talk, but I think that, as members of the DD "creative community", I think we have the right to be a little more elitist than most.

I don't think we should be elitist at all. Anyone who wants to come in and contribute to whatever discussion we're having should be allowed to.
But I can't say I have ever seen a post by Kain that actually contributed to a discussion. Not to mention his terrible grammar. And the fact that he's a jerk. And that several mods have told him to stop being a jerk.
BACK ON TOPIC
My Dog Skip made me cry. And I was trying really hard not to!

I generally dislike an elitist attitude, but it is particularly irritating on a site like this. These forums were always for authors and readers alike. Whether someone has a comic or not should never factor into whether they have a right to post here.

Elitism is wrong because it leaves you no one to feel superior to :(

The begining and middle parts of 28 Days Later made me feel really, really sad. The hopelessness when the police blockade is abandoned, that the BBC reports that Paris and New York City are infected, the fact that Mark loses his family in a disater at the Heathrow airport, the part where Frank is infected by the Rage, tells his daughter goodbye, turns into a zombie and is shot dead, all in front of his daughter. And the part where Jim goes to his parents, only to find out that they had commited suicide. Truley sad.
The fact that they had a short back story for Selena makes it more depressing.
Damn.

IMDB
A back-story was developed by director Danny Boyle and actress Naomi Harris to explain her character's hard-natured, ruthlessly pragmatic outlook on life. Apparently, the character had been forced to kill her entire family in one afternoon, starting with her infected mother and father to save her baby brother, only to discover that her brother was also infected.
Damn.

Wait, we can democratically get someone banned?
Hrm... sorry, maybe a new thread should be started for this.

What movie made me cry? The short answer: All of them. Some of the comedy ones make me cry because they ARE NOT FUNNY YOU PUERILE CHIMPS!
*cough*On topic again, I can be a ninny sometimes. The Disney movies I grew up on always depressed me(I think a poignant example was Simba trying to revive his dead father, or when Beast was dying with Belle right over him). I was reminded of Toy Story in this thread: I think one of the saddest scenes in that whole movie was when Buzz tried to fly, and fell to the ground. Ew.
Okay, so I'm easily manipulated emotionally. I'm not stupid, I know they're just movies...but even scenes like in RE:Apocalypse where Alice has to fight NEMESIS, or RENT when Mimi dies(This is NOT a spoiler, damnit, the musical has been around for years, plus it's BASED off of a book that was around longer, which was based on an OPERA that's been around for a LONG time! Anyone who doesn't know that Mimi dies needs a little more culture!).
^^ Okay,so I'm a little silly for getting sad at all these scenes. I can't help it: I cry reading BOOKS, damnit!

Oh, and while I'm here, I want to add to the list of people who want to ban Kain: He has not said one useful thing in this forum. It's not about being elitist to people who don't have a comic, it's about his comments being absolutely useless and full of signs that he can't distinguish reality from fiction, or that he badly, BADLY wants attention.
