That is correct, Superman will have a new movie coming out in 2009. This will be a cool movie ever. Also, Lex Luthor is returning to fight Superman as well. Even Lois Lane will come back, too. I was wondering, which other Superman villain would be in the sequel? Give me a comment and let me know.
Legacyhero and i are doing a Kid Intense/Hero Force crosover which will be a blast. Also, we are teaming up for a Kid Intense movie. Tell me what you think of the crossover and the movie we are teaming up.

Oy. All the Superman movies lately have sucked. The old 90's Animated Series is the only reason I still consider Superman a good character.

I liked Superman Returns, though with some reservations.
I don't know who I'd choose for the new villain. But it better be somebody, not just Lex. That was one of my reservations.

Lex is the most overused villain in the movie series. If they want my 7 bucks they sure as shit better find someone else. I don't need skinny-bald-white-guy vs. super-powered-alien-who-can-lift-an-island, specially not one whose whole jaw-dropping twist if that OH NO LEX HAS KRYPTONITE SUPERMAN'S ONE WEAKNESS.
God damnit I hate those movies.

The question shouldn't be "Who will Superman's Next Villain be?"
The questions Should be "Will Superman throw a punch in this movie?" or "Will Superman do something other than fly around and catch stuff?" or "Will Superman have muscles in this movie?" or "Will anyone burn the theatre down as a result of this movie?"

The answer to all of that is "no". It's a Superman movie.

the problem with superman is he doesn't have any really well know villians to the gereral public except lex. if you're a comic book nut or a huge superman fan you can name a few but ask joe public to name a superman villain. they will come up with lex and that's it. then do the same thing with batman.

Lemme guess. His enemy is Luthor? You know what that means...
"Coming this summer! Lex Luthor thinks!"
Wonder how that pitch meeting will go?
"Hey guys, you ready for this? Luthor's gonna think!"
"How much?"
"20 million!"
"Sold!"

Can't they just make a new villain? Or Doomsday? The guy who killed Supes. He sounds good enough to fit the bill.

Superman has always been one of the lamest heros ever. I mean besides Aquaman I can't think of one worse.

Aquaman had potential but they kept laming him down! When Green Arrow is a much more interesting character in comparison, there's definitely a problem.
I agree with AQua_ng: bring on Doomsday, kill them both at the end of the movie and be done with the franchise! If they made it half as interesting as what they did in the comics, I'd go see it.

Throwing ever at the end of things means a lot, man. Lamest ever? There's gotta be a whole pile of half-baked superheroes that Superman is better than.

HawkYou would think so hawk but nope. If you ever sit down and watch Justice League Unlimited. You realize this. "Wow... DC is full of useless heroes." In DC, there's about 30 different people who have the SAME EXACT POWERS as Superman. In that show, Superman gets his ass kicked all over the place, but somehow has the power to stop Darkside singlehandedly. But then 4 episodes later, he can't even stop a taxi cab.Phantom Penguin

But seriously, Bizarro would be an EXCELLENT choice for the villain. Even Brainiac! Brainiac would kick some serious ass!
And in defense of Superman, Everyone should go out and by The Death of Superman DVD when it comes out. Because DOOMSDAY IS IN IT!

The reason the Superman movies suck is that Superman sucks. Superman is too invincible. He's boring.
Whereas Batman is all kinds of awesome and he doesn't really have any powers at all.
What bugged me most of all about the last Superman movie is that in the first two if he's in the general vicinity of kryptonite he collapses, he barely has the strength to breath. Whereas in Superman Returns he lands on an island made of kryptonite and just walks around like "whats up, this island probably isn't made of kryptonite." and then when he finds out it IS made of kryptonite he picks it up and throws it into space.
What the hell, man?
