Is anyone looking forward to this movie?
I really didn't have any reaction one way or the other when I first heard of it. But then I became addicted to the campy charm of the old TV show when SciFi channel started airing reruns the past week or so.
I wasn't born when it originally aired, but am enjoying it now.
I'm just afraid now I"ll probably end up hating the movie because Will Ferrell will ruin the premise with a bunch of piss and fart jokes.
Anyone else have any thoughts on the movie or TV show.

I hear that's exactly what he did. Or the director did anyway.
Still, I never watched Land of the Lost and only have a small memory of a corny theme song, so I don't really have much to say about it either way. XP

When I was little and Land of the Lost came on during Saturday mornings, I changed the channel. I watched some of it now and then, but only enough to tell me I wanted to see something animated instead. I'm not very interested in the movie.

That's what he does.
He's always stuck in the 'fucktard that gets into trouble with his annoying and loudmouth antics warms his way into everyones hearts' role too, always.
I think the only worse and less funny actor than him is Dane cook, who's basically will Ferrell except with sex and gender jokes. 'Good luck chuck' and 'my best friends girl' are the two worst movies of this damn decade.

You know, it's too bad. Ferrell did a great job in Elf. Or maybe it only seems that way because my Ferrell tolerance was higher back then.

He was fine in Semi-pro. It was still the same old act, but it worked there... Probably because all the other actors were just as strong in their roles, will couldn't overpower them with his spaz.

I would pass on it just for sake of Will Ferrell. His range limited at best.
As for 'nostalgia' movies such as this, I have about as much love for them as the 'modern remakes' or 'American version of a Japanese movie' kind. Just terrible. If at all possible, I would make a middle finger visible from space to convey my thoughts on the Dukes of Hazzard movie.

This movie looks more appealing for the pee pee and poo poo jokes than the original Land of the Lost did.
