So I've had a red/itchy rash on my knuckles all day and it was very irritating.
After getting out of the hot shower it got 10x worse, I tried cold water on it and that helped a tiny bit-
But a few minutes after that it got so irritating I licked my knuckles to cool it off-It worked and healed the freaking rash 0_o (my hands were clean from the shower btw)
I thought only dogs had that 'magic healing saliva' dog owners talk about. Just thought it was weird.

I've never heard of dogs having any healing powers... ?
I did hear about a couple of scientific studies into cat saliva though that found some good properties.
As for people licking stuff... Who knows. Coincidence?

I have heard that human saliva has mild healing properties... Not the magic sort, it's just better than normal water. This is quite strange, though. XD How long did it take for the rash to disappear... post-lick?

I dont think its only saliva though. I wonder about the reflex action to touch the part of your body that is in pain. Especially when its just inflicted. Why do people do that?
You know what I think?
I think that itself is a clue on the REAL capability of humans.
There are sources I've read... and yes you might consider them insane because they go deep into that esoteric stuff. That there is this thing called the hand chakras. That when activated, can provide anything from improved drawing ability to healing power.
Its interesting how the human body functions.
What if that 'junk dna' as referred to by scientists is really a mechanism that allows us to enhance our capabilities?
Remember the bible also says we were made in the "image and likeness of God".

lol. I thought it was a rash but it just my skin was very dry from the harsh weather here and any lotion irritated it.
Maybe the saliva was lubricated enough to calm down the itching for me? xP
Either way I'm grateful lol

The human body is capable of a lot more than people think it is.
Like healing itself with drool. You should market this.

SkullbieMight have been your skin not reacting well with the oil based lotions. Most lotions are oil based.

It's a good thing it wasn't a rash and that it didn't spread to your tongue. How irritating that would be!

Maybe it was just a mild skin infection, and your saliva just helped kill the bacteria.
