If only we could redirect the horse$#!+ in this country to the more useful purposes of filling in potholes and growing crops...

, updating the infrastructure, developing new technologies, refilling the strategic reserves, paying off the debts, returning our economy and industry to our shores, sealing the border, cleaning the pork out of existing law books/canceling the boondoggle projects, etc...

Y'know, I'm reminded of an old Beach Boys tune all of a sudden...

Oh, wouldn't it be nice if we were smarter
Then we wouldn't have to wait so long
For candidates worth more than a quarter
Of the votes we throw away for just a song...

We might consider balancing the budget
Instead of coming up with newer ways
To fudge it...
