Hello everybody. Along time ago I particapated in one of these and it was a blast. I figured I would bring the joy and fun over to the DrunkDuck forums.
The way it works is simple. You have four different levels:
LW (light wieght) People like Batman/Captain America
MW (Medium Wieght) People like Spider-man/Wolverine
HW (Heavy Wieght) People like Hellboy/Flash (Jay Garrick)
SHW (Super Heavy Wieght)People like Superman/Thor
And you have 16 or 32 (depending on the response to these forum) people in each group. Each one is a comic book character. Whether it is from a actually comic (Superman) or a webcomic (http://interimstate.com/ )- shameless plug) is up to you. The people are mixed and matched randomly and are placed inside certain battle grounds, like the Batcave. Then the members vote on who wins, wheher just saying the name or perhaps they might like to write out how the battle happen it is up to you.
But there are certain rules.
1. For the start you can only name one person and for right now LW only.
I'll say that again LIGHT WIEGHT NOMANATIONS ONLY
2. No Original Characters
3. If you nominate a character from a webcomic, it can not be your own. No personal characters. That way if you character starts to lose you won't flip out.
4. If you do post a character from a webcomic, please post a link. That way everyone can judge the character.
5. Characters are accepted first come first served
6. Unless you nominate some one who everyone says doesn't belong.
7. Also if you nominate a character played by different people (Flash/Green Latern/Captain America) make sure you say who it is.

captain america light weight and spider man medium weight?
No way! The cap is a hunking slab of red meat fed all american muscle head!
Spider man is a skinny little wuss on a bungee cord.
Spider is fast and springy, not big and buff and mindlessly patriotic like captain america.
And Wolverine is short! Little and short!
THe medium and light weight categories should be swapped.

Normally I would say Cap (Steve Rogers) could take Spider-man. But Spider-man is stronger and tougher one on one. And Wolverine while he doesn't have super strength, he can heal and is tough. Low end mw maybe but still a middle wieght.
But if people disagree I have no problem switching it. And make sure you suggest someone!
