So, you play Improbable Island for some reason, and at one point you venture into the Clan Halls, thinking to yourself that it sounds interesting.
You take a look at the Great Hall and the numerous doors that lead away from it. You try a few doors but find that they're locked.

Then you notice one that says 'Applicants please report here.'

You carefully open the door and glance through, finding yourself greeted by a nice lady. You inquire as to starting a Clan, but get told that it costs a rib and an arm. Sadly, you depart from the Halls, wishing you could afford to create your very own Clan.

Just as you are on your way out, you see a pamphlet stuck to one of the locked doors. It reads:

Does the name Drunk Duck sound familiar? It does! Then move no further!

Through here, you will find all your hearts desires. Numerous of other DD Members have gone before you and tons more will surely follow!
Feel at home amidst the ones you know! Apply today! Join Hraban-Dan and be part of the coolest Clan around!

I am so confused. IS this some weird Top Drawer thing? Cuz I don't frequent that place. It's weird and I think it gave me some weird warts on my ass once.

I've never played Improbable Island, although I think I might be willing to give it a shot. I love free browser-games, although playing another would considerably suck away what little life I have left. I guess I want to know a bit more about the game, like how hard it is to learn quickly, how it treats newbies, and if joining a clan, even one as obviously awesome as the Drunk Duck clan, is necessary to enjoy the game.

Anyone want to try answering any of those? You might get a new convert out of it.

LastCall, it's a browser text-based game. Here's the link . Perfectly harmless, though quite addicting.

Steely, since Rutger's gone to bed (it sounds SO BAD that I know that), I'll answer some of these. It's easy to pick up - they have a quick little guide (it will say something like "Newbies, read this!") that tells you all the basics you'll need to play. Since it's a decently new game, MOST of the people playing are newbies, and I've never run across anyone being a punkface. And there's no need to join a clan at all. I didn't join one until Rutger made this one ^.^ Basically, it gives you a clan-only message board and a nifty clan designation by your user name. The vast, VAST majority of the game will be played on your own.

And if that's not enough to convert you, here is my latest random encounter:

You have encountered Narcoleptic which lunges at you with Drowsiness!
Narcoleptic's Hitpoints (Level 8): 84
YOUR Hitpoints: 80
Narcoleptic surprises you and gets the first round of attack!
Narcoleptic hits you for 7 points of damage!
End of Round:
Narcoleptic's Hitpoints (Level 8): 84
YOUR Hitpoints: 73

Awesome. You convinced me Amanda; I started a game in Improbable Island today. I am now a level 2 newbie named Professer (yes with an e) Gaze, with a laser in my head and a can opener in hand.

It's actually a lot of fun and I'm really enjoying it. There goes what little life I had left.

What requirements are there to join the Drunk Duck clan? Anybody want to share? Do I have to be a certain level or anything?

I don't believe he's set up any requirements - just head to the clan halls in any town, and apply for a membership.
Currently, I'm a contestant zombie named amanda (of course) with light steel armor, a driver for a weapon, and Hello Kitty cotton mittens. Rar!

No requirements at all, though being DD gives you perks. I have yet to figure out what those perks are.

I am El Freudian, a level 15 human donning an Encounter Suit, a paintball mask, a pair of steel toe boots and a riot hammer named Hraban! Guess where the Clan name hails from.

Thanks to everyone who joined, and remember, we're always open for more clannites!
