Because we really only need one thread for it, and celebrities don't have the decency to only die once in a little while anymore.
EDIT: In case you couldn't tell, this thread was made of 100% sarcasm.
Seriously, are the deceased threads such a big deal when we've got a mountain of other threads that all relate to either cooking or oh my god, where do you live or what kind of ice cream do you enjoy? While we're at it, why don't we just make the WTH forum a single thread if we're looking to save that much space?
In all seriousness, I really don't feel strongly about this at all. I just wanted to see how strongly you all felt about it.

Those selfish celebrities. Can't they have to decency to die at regular intervals so they're not clogging up our precious, precious, sweet forum with their obituaries?
They make my stomach turn.

This is... wrong. This is disrespectful on a mind warping level. I get that your forums are slow and it's easy to get cluttered, but take a step back and just kinda y'know... evaluate.

Who cares? It's not like anyone is going to use this thread anyway. They'll post in General, we'll lock it, and throw it in this forum. This thread will just become full of posts saying "OMG, they didn't post here! Lock them!"
Eh, whatever. I didn't mind the obit posts in General, because they fell off faster. They seem to take over in a smaller forum.

You win the 2008 Spiderbaby award for common sense.
Well done.
Unfortunately, there was no one else on these forums in the running.

lullaby, you're the one who started the freakin' thread, and now you're complaining that someone is using it the way you intended?

I made it because I didn't think anyone would actually use it.
I mean, a lot of famous people just happened to die at the same time when everyone got on the THIS REALLY ALL COULD GO IN ONE THREAD bandwagon. But no one seemed to have the balls to actually do it because in a way it's pretty wrong.
But I'll leave the issue alone. You all can use the thread how you thought it was meant to be.

Actually, I think it's a cool and funny idea to post them in here instead. Is Patrick Swayze dead yet? Didn't he have cancer or something?

I'm in some way COMPLETELY unrelated to Patrick Swayzee! My cousin by marraige is Swayzee's (something like) 2nd nephew twice removed. He's like genetically the last Scion of Swayzee since they share like a half dead chromosome. Sadly for Ryan it's an extra chromosome. Oh, Alabama.
