Such a a shame this pastiche of an 80's glam metal band is no more... It was good while it lasted though. What are your thoughts on The Darkness? Love 'em? Hate 'em? Couldn't care less? (if you're in that last category; posting will indicate a low IQ. Think about it ;))

Well I don't know about my LEAST favorite Darkness song.... but I do know my favorite. "Get Your Hands Off My Woman" would have to be my favorite song by The Darkness. It's short, it's sweet, and it's HIGH-OCTANE! Woo!

As for my thoughts of The Darkness in general... I don't know. I thought they were an alright band, I guess they just weren't meant to succeed. Maybe people just don't want long-haired 80s glam bands anymore. I personally loved the period of 80s rock. Motley Crue, Guns and Roses, Twisted Sister, they were all great bands. I guess trying to relive their fame in the 2000s was doomed from a start. It's a damn shame too...

Ya know, I was never a fan of the 80s music. I suppose I thought it was always rather... primitive, comparatively speaking. Better sound quality, better lyrics, blah blah blah. Although, I must say I really did like The Darkness. They were just one of those bands that seemed to be just about having fun and dancing and jumping around instead of all the sad, wallowing-in-self-pity emo stuff.

And I have to have some respect for that man for having such a powerful and high falsetto.

That's how I felt the first time I saw them ("Growing On Me" video around midnight on MTV). I had a few other random encounters with their videos and I guess they just started "growing on me" (oh Darkness reference! Geddit? Geddit?).

I freaking love them. They're just fun to listen to but at the same time, they have more than enough technical skill to back it up. Justin's solos are simply amazing, even when compared with the "real" rock bands from the 80s, Which says a lot more than those (c)rappers hogging the limelight right now.

I'd say my favourite songs by them would be "Physical Sex", "Love On The Rocks", "Hazel Eyes", "Growing On Me" and "I believe In A Thing Called Love"

By the way, The censored version of "Get Your Hands Of My Woman" replaces the word "cunt" with "coconut"(wtf??), and "mother fucker" gets replaced with "ma ma ma ma"

It's just such a shame that Justin left the band though
