Okay, most of you have comic banners, most of them look good. Now, we ask the comic authors themselves, which banner from your own comic, any one that you've created from either earlier today to times long past is your favorite?

Which made you proud to display in your signature? Which banner of yours did you enjoy making, creating, thinking of? Why do you think it's the best?

I love my current banners, which are very "exposing" and really do show what Somewhere in SF is all about. I'm totally proud to display my banner in my signature because I think it looks good and it's also in color. I also love how my banner image alternates between two different images everytime one reloads.

See?

I like this one for FIGHT 1 .

Because the literary/cinematic references I use in this banner is the closest I've ever come to describing the essence of the comic. I have several versions with different words; this is the best.
Artistically, it was fun having everyone colored (by co-artist Ed), and really fun to draw characters who haven't appeared yet. I had to refrain from drawing all the future characters, because the spoilers would just be too massive.

FIGHT_2 current chapter: Light Years of Gold

These are my animated ones. They run like teaser trailers, and I like 'em, but I learned right away that no one watches an animation like this, so I replaced them.

I currently use this banner. It's simple. It accurately displays my style and subject matter. People sometimes click on it.

I used to have a colored banner, but it didn't get many clicks and I can't seem to make any colored banners "moody" enough. (Most of my comic is in grayscale.)

One for VP X I like:

And an old one for regular VP I'm still rather fond of, except I don't think that font is fitting:

Actually, the one I'm using now is my favorite.
That's "Dr. BlkKnight" to all of you.

I like the one I'm using currently the best, which I made today because of this thread XD. I realized that my previous banners never really said anything about my comic, so I created this one.

I have a lot of love for this one, but I just couldn't fit it and my banner for Awesomataz in one signature:

I still use it on the forum where my comics originated.

This banner was one of the first ones I did, saddly it was done at an 'odd' banner size so it can't be used as much.

It was done in Illustrator. I like how I did it.

My signature banner has been changing, right now it's a scean in the comic where Herman get his ship taken. I figured he got his ship taken, he should have a banner. I think I like the idea enoghf to turn it into a shirt one day.

Excellent, but the right 15% of the banner seems unused.

Thanks mla, I am going to look into seeing what to do with that extra space, even if I just move the main title over a tad.

I like my current one. It's simplistic and perfectly fits Last words as a comic.

These were a few banners I liked before the comic in question underwent a name change.

I just like the clean and simple look.

I think my favorite is the simple one where I just took the cover of our mini comic and cropped it.

I'm also doing that other comic "Space Waffles ".

Well, I just whipped up the one in my sig this week, it's my second, and I think it's better than the first one, so I guess that makes it my fave.

Actually the overall design of the first one may have been better, but the art was starting to look dated to me, and I was sick of it. Sometimes you just need something new because you need something new. Plus the character in the banner isn't in the comic at the moment.

I only made one and I was so tickled that I finally got it to work that I've been afraid to mess with it.
