Well, I guess my colouring style is really easy to pick out.

My signature is/are palm trees.

Every page in SF has at least on palm tree in every page. Why? I'm not sure, I just like adding them. They also make things prettier and more tropical-ish.

I don't know of any specific signature of my own. Maybe it's my art style. Some people could recognize my style immediately eventhough my art style has changed a bit. Whatever that style is, I may possibly have a certain distinct style of my own.

I've actually gotten a few very welcome compliments on my linework and writing skills (of which the latter pleasantly surprised me) :), but if there is a "signature" aspect to my work, then I would guess it's the aforementioned linework.

Hmm... I can never find my own "signatures" when writing or making a comic. If anything, it's my tendancy to do establishing shots before a scene... ANY scene. Though I don't know if a slightly annoying habit counts as a signature. I also use a common theme in most of my writing which is self-discovery and showing off that "everyone has a dark side."

I suppose mine is my attempt to make complex expressions emote from simple facial structures. My theory has always been that if I can tell what the character is thinking without adding a thought bubble, then I've done my job.

I do the opposite. I have people sympathizing with questionable characters. I just LOVE anti-heroes. I like despicable ego-centrics evolving into hero types and/or joining forces with high moral, law-abiding types. (I believe that, as a child, I was profoundly affected by Han Solo.)

For starters people have commented a lot on the somewhat dark nature of many of the jokes I create, along with the exceptional smoothness of much of my line work. But that stuff is more just skill-related stuff people tell me about than a signature.

For my actual signature characteristics, I would probably say my extremely limited colour palettes. I rarely use more than one shade of gray and more than two colours in a comic. The other thing would be something that's a big difference between myself and other single panel comics: I make the text a graphic element of the panel rather than put it in a dialog bubble. Despite looking at a number of other single panel comics, I have yet to find one that integrates the text as part of the overall image as I do. Toss in the long humor columns that usually accompany the comic and I have a pretty unusual comic I'd say.

I dunno what my signature would be... do I even have one?

Maybe it's the 80's pop-culture references... or more specifically, my musical references.

Or my photographic backgrounds combined with my cartoon characters... but that was more evolved from necessity, as I don't have much time to draw intricate backgrounds by hand.

Or maybe it's just how I customize the "title bar" to fit the overall theme of the strip.

Let me know if I'm missing the big picture here.
