I really don't have the schedule to be judge, but I would like to be presenter of any category that's available.

I don't know if this has been brought up yet, but I see certain people asking to be judges for certain categories. With all the commotion that has been raised about these awards so far, you might be better off assigning the judging randomly. Unless there is a specific category (best adult for example) that someone feels uncomfortable about.

This is just a suggestion. I'm just trying to save JNP future grief about people complaining that they lost because the judges were all SUPERFANS of the winning comic.

We were worried last year, but noone complained (we even announced who was judging what). People liked having choices.

Although, we could simply say "let us know you want to judge and sign up in the forum" and them make a private board there for people to call dibs. Then we could post who judges what there, so only the judges can see.

Actually, I didn't complain, but I questioned Amanda on a judge's conduct. A person judging community projects last year (The Drunk Duck Mafia Comic was nommed back then too) was previously banned from all mafia games for trolling. She assured me that he was at least being fair in her perspective with his judgements.

I would be happy to present, and you can give me any category - I don't mind =D

but what about those judges with a comics in categories?

also some people wont feel they have a strong enough opinion on certain categories... I left a massive list of what I am willing to judge, I am not fussy but I eliminated those I have no real feel for. will everyone be so open? I would hope so as but you can't be sure.

So far we never have had an issue come up that looked as though a judge just wanted to shoe horn their favorite comic in. We have always allowed people to pick their categories for the reason Genejoke mentioned. Some would not like or even know what to look for in a certain field.

That's also why we get 3 judges. Myself and Used Books will be moderating and watching the progress in case anything seems fishy. And Amanda still even has moderation rights if she wants to take a look. I'll be posting all the discussions from last year anonymously after I finish everything else. I also once again extend moderation rights to DD admins if they would like to have it. I did so last year as well but neither thought it would be necessary :)

*nudge, nudge* Can we see discussions for categories we're not judging this year? xD

After the winners are announced :P I'll post them anonymous again.

It took me all day long to get all the award banners posted on everyone's sites. So I'll get on the judging presentation ball tomorrow. That was just a bit too much redundancy for 1 whole day XD

Okay we still need a lot of volunteers for judging. I gave everyone I could find some categories. If you said you didn't mind where you are I threw you in 2 categories. Most of the ones that had no volunteers yet.
