You can do porn and not be scolded by 'purists' (read: hopeless otaku on morally high horse).
You don't have to meet goals you set.
If you do recieve hate mail, you can track them down and burn down their house! Just kidding! Fire is bad when it's used like that.
Candy and Soda.
No one has to see you, if you don't want them to.

You can have a non-internet social life.
You can spam the forums instead of making a page
You can critique other webcomics without getting a backslash

You can speak with your fellow unknowns, bouncing ideas and art tips back and forth, without anyone accusing you of "copying their style".
And if someone does, you can call them bad things with no worries of losing readers (when you're unknown, they become more like friends than readers anyways!)
The unknown's community.

All of the above of which will forever define both of my comic series. There's one more:
16X: No matter what kind of review you get, it will not have much of an impact on the audience you receive. In other words, what is half of zero?
And
11Z: You're free to make changes in style. What, is the army of one that hates it going to show up and spam your forums? Compared to perhaps 1000s of angry fans at popular comics...

One youth is stuck behind the shadow of his brother, and the king, his father, refuses to recognize his troubles. How will he rise above his brother, who is destined for greatness?

Getting recognized by "known" artist is that much cooler. Instead of people going "yea, they work together all the time."
Recognition feels great and makes you want to try harder.

70: Taking those first steps in your artistic career/life. Be it for fun, or as a stepping stone to something greater. Your still making an accomplishment as well as building a fan base and making friends.
