So, i logged onto myspace this morning, and i noticed their is an advertisement for the upcoming Bratz movie. Well, i've already registered this as a really stupid idea. But through out the day, its slowly nagged at me until i made this realization.

WHY IN ALL OF BURNING HELL ARE THEY MAKING A BRATZ MOVIE?! WHO IN THE RIGHT MIND THOUGHT THIS WAS A GOOD IDEA?

WHAT'S WORSE IS THEY ADVERTISE ON FREAKING MYSPACE! WHAT'S WRONG WITH THAT?

Well, most people on myspace tend to be at least 15 years old, at least. And generally if a girl is still playing with damn dolls at 15, well, she not only tends to be taken out of most social circles, but her sanity is under question. So, what's the purpose of advertising on myspace. The only thing i can come up with is just to advertise to pedophiles across the internet that this will be prime movie to locate their next target.

This is not at all helping the pedophile controversy myspace was having a couple months back. Personally, i think one of Tom's nads should be ripped off.

Anyway, i needed to work off some steam that was building up. Any other opinions on the matter?

I think the real question here is why would anyone in their right mind go to MySpace?

EDIT: Wait, hold on, BRATZ the Movie? Holy I have to see this.

I see no picture...

but on a more serious note, I find it's best not to let these things get to you. The creators are just trying to get more money by over marketing their product which may be annoying but it's not wrong or anything.

"Bratz - teaching sexy bling to your pre-teen." I've always despised Bratz, and then they came out with Bratz Babies? Um, they're already babies!

It's true, though, that it shouldn't be given the time of day, in terms of our attention. There are probably worse movies for kids (I'm still recovering from The Jetsons movie... The boredom! The boredom!)

I think you just answered your own question. It IS Hollywood after all.

I saw a preview of the movie this weekend. I thought "Hey, this looks kind of like a cute movie for pre-teens" (the girls are all JUST entering junior high or is it ninth grade?). Then the BRATZ thing came up at the end and all the adults in the theatre groaned (we were there for Shrek). Oh yeah, and it's live action, not animated.

Heh, kinda coincidential how the same thing happened to me (The preview showed up when me and my friends went to see Shrek III).

Yeah, that title at the end caught everyone off guard.

Didn't catch me off guard. At first I thought it was a Clueless sequel, only more horrendous looking than the original, then my brain kicked in: "What would look like the move "Clueless", only worse?" The answer became obvious. We didn't get a groan because I warned everyone by saying: "Aw, crap! It's a Bratz movie!"

I openly said "Someone is going to hell for this!!" quite loudly after the trailer ended and nobody reprimanded me.

I hate Bratz. At least Barbie got a job. You can learn how to be a doctor or a teacher with Barbie, or you can learn how to dress like a whore with Bratz. In the entire world, I have met one person who has actually bought one of those things.

Babies wearing thongs. I can imagine few things more sickening (Don't you DARE try, Ozone...).

...I am so glad I didn't see this trailer when I saw Shrek 3.

God! A live-action Bratz movie!? What the hell are they thinking?

If I had any faith left in the human race at all, it just died.

It's official. God has abandoned us. We are now forced to deal with fire and brimstone ourselves.

We're doomed, I tell you! DOOMED!

Bah. God abandoned us a long time ago. This movie just means that the Devil has given up on trying to out-evil humanity.

I just came up with a script for a fake trailer for a movie I call "The Bratz Movie Must Die". I'm wondering if I should follow through on it, though it might get hard to find the person who answers "Why, yes I am" when they get asked by a big, angry, muscley guy "Are you the person responsible for coming up with the Bratz movie?!" I don't think any actors would have enough dignity to sacrifice...

Give them a really goofy costume to hide who they are.

Good idea, but that might contrast the whole Bratz notion that pre-teens have to reveal as much skin as possible.

I applaud. Just like with most of the above posts.

I am glad I haven't been to see Shrek yet.
