I've never gotten the hang of Jiggy's Down B attack. I mostly relied on the quickness of its aerial movies, and how easily it can grab (though the throw afterwards is nothing to get excited about)

I really loved Mewtwo and his throws. I don't know how many guys i killed with him. Ironicly, I was Extremely good in the original with Ness, but sucked with him in Melee.

Since I never got a Gamecube, so didn't have enough practice for the hard guys, I sticked with Kirby the whole way through. He has easy to use moves, copies other's powers, can fly, and kicks butt in Sudden Death.
Why hello there.

Well at least I'm not the only one here who plays as Merwtwo in SBM.

That's not too surprising; some changes were made to a lot of his basic moves to "tone himd down" a bit. It happened to most of the characters, really, and is likely to happen again with a few key characters in the next game.

And who says nobody gives a shit about Jigglypuff? I've kicked my share of ass with the little bastard, and I know one person who uses it exclusively.
I concur. Jigglypuff is a great fighting char. dispite the "cuteness". He's a wicked small thing.

well that sucks.
The changes aren't done maliciously; it's common in video games for one character to have an unfair advantage that the programmers didn't catch when first creating and testing the game. Maybe it's that Link's range is just a hair longer than it should be, or an easy to use attack is too devastating for how little time and effort it requires. It gives anyone who uses those characters an unfair advantage and cheapens gameplay. A perfect fighting game would have all characters equal but with distinct specialties and uniquess of gameplay.

I remember back when if you knew how to use Guile, you could hold the arcade machine all day. Capcom realized Guile had an unfair advantage and for the next bunch of games they wouldn't give him any new super moves.
