So, about 3 years ago I about a Nintendo 64 at GameStop for about $15... and it sat under my bed for the next year and a half... then, I dusted it off, bought Goldeneye, had a blast... then forgot about it again. Then, a few months ago, I bought a slew of new games, including Super Mario 64 and Mario Kart... but, got obsessed with Mario Kart and never really got into SM64...
What a mistake.
This weekend, I was sick and not able to do anything, and I plugged in SM64 just to see what all the hype was about. Let me tell you I've played at least 12 hours between yesterday and today, I have 11 stars, and I've only been inside the first two worlds! This game rules!
Anybody else ever been suprised by a game they bought, but never go into?

Yeah, Super Mario 64 was an amazing game. I remember the day I bought it from Toys R Us, the store was closed and not letting anyone in so I sneaked into the store through the exit just to buy it. Great times.
There was one game I bought, yet never really got into. That game was called Clock Tower 3. I bought it for the sake of buying it. (twenty bucks? score.) It stayed unwrapped on top of my PS2 for months on end until the summertime. After spending my late nights playing Manhunt, I finished the game was left game less at night, thus I opened up Clock Tower 3 and was amazed, purely amazed.

SM64 IS a fucking classic. While it isn't perfect, it's the first 3d platformer that didn't eat horsecock for breakfast. And even better is the DS port with more shit in it! Fucking playable Yoshi goddamnit!

Be careful with the language, Rich. You're not out of line there, specifically, but be careful not to push it too much.
Anyway, off the top of my head I can't think of any games I've bought and didn't immediately play. I could list for quite some time stuff I've bought then almost immediately regretted, but really, that's a whole other topic.

Devil May Cry
I stupidly bought it the exact same time I got Devil May Cry 3, so it took away from the 1st game and I didn't play it for a long time. Then, I got bored one day, took it out, and loved it. :3
