Sudden drop in numbers?

Since i started this topic my number have returned to normal avg per day. This leads me to make some conclusions.

1. Not very many people looking at webcomics last Saturday.
Maybe it was the Micigan Notre Dame Game or somthing else?

2. System malfunction and my saturday numbers were miss reported in the servers.
Computer problems happen all the time.

3. The conspiracy theory
My comic Chad the Fat Kid at shot up to the 5th place in strips, knocking some strips back that are Always on top! Now I'm not a DD insider, they don't pay me for my strip. So maybe my big day was sabotaged to get my strip out of the top 5. currently at 11.

I'm not leaning to any of these. just throwing them out there.

Hahahahaha! Pinky TA had a MASSIVE fall over the course of last week... Massive and sudden.
Man, it was huge... Heh, It was number one overall, now it's down to 3. :P and it's been getting less than half what it's been used to. Strange.

@ Ozone:

You've been neglecting your tithes to Platinum Comics, haven't you?

@ Kyupol:

1. Oversaturation doesn't occur in the space of a week. It happens over 5 years.

2. Unless you're a complete troll, your behavior in a forum doesn't impact your THOUSANDS of hits for your comic that much.

3,4. Again, a comic doesn't go from good to suck inside of a week.

I don't sweat it. Just commenting.

lol I wasnt thinking weeks or days when I made that post. I was thinking months and years. :)

My bad. Should have read the thread title... "Sudden drop in numbers..." :P

You took a drop Ozone? There must be an issue with the counters.
I had a humungous jump the day that Sarah Ellerton posted a link to me on her site, so my numbers have truly dropped like a stone. But I have a few folks hanging on! I just wish I could update more. :-(

You too Barb? Wow! o_O
No, it wasn't the counters with me, I really did take a big hit. I've got at external counter to triangulate that stuff with, as well as those trackers that come with my Project Wonderful ads and yeah, massively down. I dunno why...

I suppose I should stop worrying about it too much and just get on with making my comic though, it just goes to show there's no way to control things like hits... And I have to comment more on my Drunk Duck faves! I've been neglecting those for too long while I've been sick, but now that I'm better they need their attention again ^_^

Mine stayed at around 1,000 for 4 days straight, then they dropped to about 400-600 over the weekend. Now it's still at around 600-700, but I think the main reason is I've been linking people away from the comic to my new comic, and that makes people not wander as much, hence, lowing my views.

It doesn't matter, I still love my fans, even if they don't click refresh 100 times each.

Yeah, count me in for the big drop. I don't know what's going on. Maybe the current storyline is more of a miss than I thought it would be. Since being featured a couple months ago, the SuperFogeys were averaging about 300-400 hits a day and now, in the past week and a half, it's more like 100-200.

I know it's a frustrating thing to see if you feel like you're producing a quality comic (which I think I am), but you just gotta keep plugging along, y'know?

not really for me as I've only had my comic up for 5 days... but my numbers are crazy... So I can't really make a good pattern out of that:P

My numbers have been pretty bad for months. I'm starting to think that I just have a rubbish comic and no-ones told me yet XD

I'm happy just making my comics. If its more popular, awesome. Less popular, makes me try harder.
