Ok, so we had a thread going in which you had to post a game and have anyone post the answer and then post their own game to be guessed.

Well, isukun guessed them all correctly and also posted games that really had us scratching our heads.

I figured, lets see just how far isukun's well goes.

Please post a game screen shot in hopes that isukun will not be able to guess what game it is (hence, lets "Stump isukun"). Please post one hint with the image as well as the console the image was taken from.

If you are worried about isukun following the image link to learn the game name, I'm sure we have his word that he wont do that, otherwise please take any precautions to hide the url that you please.

I haven't actually formally asked isukun if he wanted me to do this, but he's pretty regular on the forums, so I'm sure we will find out soon enough.

Happy posting!

My game

Sorry the image is so small. One of my fave games back in the day!

Console: Sega CD
Hint: It's not a mech, actually the bottom right of the image tells you a little bit more.

Oddly enough, I have a friend back home who's a game collector. The 16-bit generation isn't really my specialty since those were the dark days when my mother decided that since games hurt her eyes, nobody was allowed to buy console systems (I still played a lot of games at friends' houses and in college I got into the whole emulation thing, but still, it's hard to make up for lost time), but when I went back for Thanksgiving I hooked up with the old gang again. My friend is kind of like the Angry Videogame Nerd where he goes out and buys every game he can find and then plays through them so he can complain about how crappy they were. Well, at least to us, he generally doesn't take his rants to the public. Anyway, I think the game he was playing was called Thunderstrike or something like that. It looked a lot like the screenshot.

You did it again!

Man, ok I hope that we get a lot of support in this thread, I'd love to see the slew of game images we can throw at you. In the mean time, check this out!

I have a feeling that this game is an easy one...but thought I'd give it a shot

Console: Saturn and Arcade
Hint: Quick moving Mechs!

That one is pretty easy. Plus I still play Oratorio Tangram down at the arcade in Little Tokyo from time to time. The Saturn version was alright, but Virtual On really needed that dual stick layout.

Well I thought of the most obscure game I knew, and this is what I came up with.
Remember! Don't look at the image title - That's cheating, as it is clearly written there!

Charlie Blast's Territory. Although I will admit I got a little help from the roommate on that one since I never had an N64 (which I guess just makes it all the more odd that I actually have games for it).

I'm curious to know if you've seen this one. It's a game that I played a long time ago which seemed to have passed the radar for many.

Console: PC.
Hints: This is the sequel. Your goal is to save the children.

P.S. The answer is in the url for anyone who's interested and is not Isukun.
Those were my two cents.

And this one:

(Don't peak at the address.)

I'll bet he knows this one easily, because (hint) it's "the only game designed by Shigeru Miyamoto that has not been released in North America, despite the fact that the game is simple and in English."

When I was young, I played this game on an emulator (without knowing its prestigious origins), and liked it so much I drew a big fan comic saga on it.

The power of Shigeru Miyamoto... he grabs a child's imagination with a simple pixelated game, even without his name stamped on the game.

I remember the Little Big Adventue series. I think the second one was Twinsen's Odyssey. I never played Devil World, but I recall looking it up after seeing a reference in Melee. I used to think it was a rip off of Bubble Bobble due to the look of the main character, but I think Bubble Bobble came out two years later.

WOW Skool!

That is one messed up looking game!

Glad to see so many people posting. Be sure to check back and verify whether or not Isukun was right.

I can't believe he knows any of these games. I consider myself a pretty big gamer...but I couldn't tell you any of the games in this thread except the one I posted!

Well done Isu

I've played Chiller in MAME. I don't remember actually ever seeing it in an arcade, though. I still don't know how the game even got released back in the 80's.

I'll admit, apart from TMNT, Mario, Tetris, and Pokemon, my knowledge of original Gameboy titles is pretty limited. I had to look at the link on that one and really, there is no way I would have ever guessed it, I've never even heard of it.

I thought the same thing, only to realize it was more Pac-man like.

Woah, Chiller! Haven't seen that in the arcades in ages. It was always sort of obscure, I think. I remember watching a few folks play it, but it seemed uncompromisingly hard as hell.

I actually played it on NES, with the zapper it was terribly hard. (Fortunately player 2 could use a controller which was marginally easier.)

I remember the box art said "dead people are cool" or something like that, haha.

OOooooo, Battle Bull was a neat 'puzzle' game of sorts. Had you pushing blocks around to trap and destroy enemies. OK, so the Gameboy is not your forte...lets try something else...

Console: PC but I think I played it for the PSone...don't remember now
Hint: Puzzles and intrigue! Red book or Blue book?

This game kinda caught me off guard. I didn't think that I should like it but when I played it, I was hooked!

Hence the title "obscure".

It's Virtua Racing. As for which version, I know it was on the Saturn, the 32X and in Arcades, but I think the 32X version was the most well known, so I'd probably have to go with Virtua Racing Deluxe for the 32X.

There are a number of games I remember playing which I could post here, but I can't remember the name of a single one. :[

For example one was an old side-scrolling wizards and swords rpg for NES, you were young wizard. The game was always bugging you to eat food, and right away you can fall down a well and starve to death.
