Not 100 % sure this goes here, oh well, if it doesn't please move.
Okay, on to the topic. I was wondering what ideas for stories everyone has around here. It doesn't have to be for a comic. Just give me a brief synopsis of it. Nothing too lengthy, just a paragraph or two.

I have this idea for this comic about a girl who has these powers she can't control and she hurts those around her until she's hated by everyone. There's this one dude who tries to help, but he can't do anything. Seems like it's been done a bunch, but i was going to do a cool, sketchy artstyle with it.
I'm kind of stuck on it tho. I'm not a writer, and I often think of characters and titles before I think of plot. Then when I try to think of plot, I can't.
Someone's probably going to steal this idea... I know what I'm saying doesn't belong in this forum, but if anyone wants to and can write a serious emotional comic, hit me up.

Story ideas.
Got them.
Plenty.
Too many even.
I won't get to some of them for YEARS.
Last time I checked I had about 50 partially written out projects (and another 30-50 vague concepts).
So I'm not posting any, why should I give them away for free? Wait 5-10 years, then you'll read them :D

Moved
thanks.
I guess I should say one of mine.
I have to major ones that I keep flip-flopping back and forth between.
One I plan one putting up here in the next few months so that one's under wraps.
The other is a science fiction story that takes place nearly 600 years in the future. The United States is forced off the planet after sticking its nose where it doesn't belong and not helping out when it should (happens around 2100). After a few decades living in the solar system, FTL is developed and they leave. Then four hundred years later, the Terran Collective, successor to the UN, stumbles upon a damaged colony ship and her escorts and opens fire, killing everybody. this starts a war, both sides make first contact with two different species and the whole mess turns into an interstellar war.
that's about it.

oh I've got a buttload, my own personal favorite that I can never seem to pull off is this
Leonard Brinks is a childhood genius that at the age of 3 realizes that the theory of relativity is just a recipie for pie (the best pie ever to be created now and forever) and this causes him to grow into a rich rich manchild. His family has a history of theft and his father is one of the most wanted men in the world, the rich Leon is bored out of his mind and decides to take up his fathers proffession and become the most wanted man ever to have lived. Ofcourse he is a terrible thief, but he uses his genius to create all sorts of gadgets, he also takes aid from hired help. The story starts where Leon escapes from Jail after having been tricked by one of his hired helpers, and he seeks to get back what was stolen from him (or what he was going to steal rather) It's mostly a story of a whimsical character in a crazy futuristic world.
PS: are you curious or are you looking for something to use? because this is not up for grabs, I'm still gonna pull this off some time in the future.

Nah I'm not looking for stories to use. Like I said, I've got two main ideas that get tossed around with about five or six side stories that pop up ever now and then.
Just curious is all.

Here's a story idea.
Setting: A civil war breaks out in the USA due to forced vaccinations, imposition of martial law, gun confiscation, rounding up of people perceived by the state to be "terrorists", staged terror (involving nuclear or chemical or biological weapons) and economic attacks, etc.
On one hand, we have a coalition that consists of some US troops, private mercenary armies and an international force. And on the other hand, we have a loose collection of insurgent groups with different ideologies. These guys aren't pushovers either because they have former delta force, green berets, navy seals, etc. on their side.
I'd leave it at that.
Here are some points to consider.
- What will happen in the other parts of the world as this unfolds?
- Will countries like Russia and China take advantage?
- What will happen in the Middle East? Will there be another war between Israel and the Arabs?
- Will this event spill out into a world war as the balance of power shifts?
- Would there be a sci-fi angle into this? (like suddenly inserting aliens in here or something lol! )
- Do you have a dog in this fight? Who will you focus on? Are there good guys or are there bad guys?
- Is it all black and white? Are your allies really your allies and your enemies really your enemies?

NickGuy, that description is great!! hehe
I have one roiling in my head right now, but it's not complete yet. Basically it'd be about pedophilia? (but in a classy way.) Or maybe about someone under the age of consent being helplessly in love with someone much older (one-sided?). It'd be gay, but not yaoi because a.) not necessarily a 'romance', more of a coming-of-age and b.) not a comic-- I'm thinking it might be a long story/book.
Anyway, I need to do a lot before writing it, such as read Prince Valiant (I have it in my head that the young boy is a Prince Valiant nut) and maybe find out about chess (for the older guy).
Another idea I've always wanted to try out is this one about a seashell collector who slips out of town to go to a seashell convention/contest, and begs her only friend not to tell where she is. Then, the friend gets in trouble for lying because his story doesn't add up...
In order to keep him from being some sort of plucky Picoultian martyr-type, I'd have to make him do something bad in reaction to all that.

I'll do a spinoff sequel to MAG-ISA.
This time its focus will be on a warrior of the dark side.
The mission objective would be to terminate everyone who will help raise the vibration of planet earth. This includes:
- good honest politicians (like Ron Paul)
- researchers, scientists, intellectuals, religious leaders, etc who are good guys
- psychic healers and other psychics on the side of light
- star seeds and aliens from highly advanced civilizations that help raise the consciousness of planet earth
- angels (both literal and figurative)

Actually, if you think about it, Prince Valiant was sort of like the first webcomic. Due to the fact that you would have to tune in weekly to see if something would actually happen.
It's a Grizzly Bear battling Zombies. Do you need to know more?

Holy Jesus shit do I have story ideas. I'm hoping for a chance at pitching for a Hollywood producer.
Here's one about Vampires:
It centers around two police partners. One of them, we'll call him the "Family Man" has an ideal life with his wife and preteen daughter, while the other guy is an alcoholic and struggling with depression. We'll call him "Sad guy". Anyways, they are working a case on Satanic killings and bust into the head of the cult of Satanists, where it seems a ritual is taking place. The cult members have a woman tied up and seem to be forcing her to bite them. Before she can do that, the police bust in and get in a gunfight. They kill most of the cultists and take a couple into custody. Then Family Man is untying the bound woman when she jumps up and bites his neck. She, of course, is a Vampire. She's in so much agony by now that blood won't help her, so she throws herself on an open fire and suicides. Family Man is taken to a hospital. We see that his bleeding stops after just an hour and he seems just fine, but his heartbeat is slowing down and he starts getting severe headaches. Finally, he snaps and kills a bunch of doctors and nurses, bites Sad Guy, and runs off to the police station, where he releases the two cultists they captured and bites them. Sad Guy begins feeling himself turning into a Vampire, and he knows that Family Man is losing it, so he needs to protect his family. He finds an old Van Helsing type who has what he thought to be the last Vampire chained up in his basement with his mouth sewn shut. Anyway, Van Helsing explains the basics of Vampireness to Sad Guy, and stresses the point that no Vampire can be left alive. He is almost at a breakthrough in finding the cure for Vampirism when the chained Vampire escapes and kills him before suiciding like the other one. So now Sad Guy has to protect Family Man's wife and daughter from him, as he has a strange obsession with them(kind of sub-incestuous in the daughter's case), as well as kill Family Man, the two cultists he busted out of jail and turned into Vampires, and himself.

My idea is, Family Man and Sad Guy have a fight in Family Man's house, the cultists intervene and Sad Guy has to deal with them, then Family Man kills his wife, but his daughter and Sad Guy escape. Then, of course, they have a showdown in which Sad Guy gets his Vampire on and butchers both of the cultists, Family Man pushes him out of a window and Sad Guy fries in the sunlight. The sun sets, Sad Guy punches through a wall as a crazy burned-up skeleton monster and saves Family Man's daughter at the last second, beats the shit out of Family Man and cuts his head off with an axe, then jumps into a lake to kill himself. Sort of an "everybody dies" Shakespeare ending.

ive got three ideas right now, one that i'm currently writing and two that are in
devlopment.
the one that i'm writing is called "Firecracker" and is about a superhero called Powder Keg who has mastered 4 different martial arts and the power of dynamite hair..... literally (his power includes the ability to controll the length of his hair as well. when he pulls out his hair the power of the blast=the lock/ ammount of hair removed. he can lengthen or reduce his hair as needed and even go as far as to make a giant explosive hair ball and use it as a projectile). following his most recent encounter with his greatest adversary (a woman who he has a rather interesting past with named Delilah) he looses consciousness and wakes up hours later a prepubescent kid with little recollection of the past 12 hours. in addition to that he has lost his controll of his naturally bestowed abilities, ie- his powers. with his memory, peak physicall condition, and insane knowlege of kung fu still intact he begins to search for Delilah and answers, while dealing with the usual scumbags and villains that show up from time to time. through out the series (which is only going to last for X amount of issues) an array of super powered heroes and villains will make their appearances, all of whose pasts are in some way connected. in the end heroes may become villains, villains may become heroes. characters from both sides might hang it up for good, and others may die fighting their cause. all that is certain is that nothing will be the same as it was when its all said and done

Well, besides my current comic...
I want to do one dealing with a zombie bunny. In his previous life, he had always been tormented by an evil little girl, and he had been resurrected by a witch. The witch then sows parts of his body back together, and seeing his bottom jaw ripped off, gives him a magical sock puppet through which to speak.
I'm thinking of making it a story about him getting revenge on the evil little girl, or something else. Not entirely sure yet. I haven't fully thought everything up yet.
Another one will deal with an alien. I pretty much just designed the character so far, but I'm leaning towards him being some sort of king, who plans to conquer the Universe through him and his army. He's pretty much the main character, so it's more of an evil kind of story.
That's about it.

I've been developing one where the main character is distinctly evil natured without being cartoonish or 'stupid evil'. It's proving quite tricky, but I believe it is quite doable.
"You tell yourself to just
enjoy the process," he added. "That whether you succeed or fail, win or
lose, it will be fine. You pretend to be Zen. You adopt detachment, and
ironic humor, while secretly praying for a miracle."

I've had several comic ideas come and go, and I'm still dealing with them in my head until a later date, but here's two-
One is a horror comic where a small girl and her family move into a new house that starts to gradually change every night over the space of a month. It starts off with little things, like taps turning on and odd creatures starting to appear, but everything starts to get increasingly malevolent over the month until every object in the house is trying to kill her, but neither of her parents notice anything.
I've had odd details for this pop into my head (you never see above the parents legs, the kid never talks or if they try they get interrupted and something involving a wardrobe thats tied shut) and it's kind of based on the weird shapes you're possessions look like in the darkness.
The other is a nameless guy travelling a flat, empty world looking for the people he used to live with at a facility where they were tested on, who have since mutated into monsters. In order to protect people from these monsters and these monsters from themselves, he has to hunt them down, but to be strong enough to kill them he himself has to mutate permanently, possibly leading to a monster worse than the other combined.
Both of them are very much works in progress.

WHAAAAT
prince valiant is GREAT. I mean, remember that Hal Foster died in 1982, so the stuff that's been running since then is just glorified PV fanfiction... but the art is orgasmically beautiful, and the story is intriguing.

I have some undeveloped drabblings laying around and a couple of complete stories that I may work on later...
As many authors, one of my first webcomic ideas was a variation of the "2 gamers in a couch" concept.
However, instead of gamers, I considered making it with 2 Smarks (Pro-Wrestling geeks), but I thouhgt that the idea had a limited appealing outside the Wrestling niche and the obvious similarities with the gamer genre could be kinda boring, so I never really developed it...But I'm considering work on it and see how it goes...
Other idea that I had was based-inspired on the Lovecraftian Mythos about a comic artist predicting the rise of the Deep Ones thru his comic...but I still need to find the proper tone for that...

I have a ton of story ideas, many of them dealing with my current running webcomic.
Basically the current incarnation of Fortress Avalon came about when a friend of mine claimed that I could be the next George Lucas (I really think that he's pretty off), but that pretty much made me think of how to do a fantasy story that included science fiction elements, which I put into what I plan for the story. I decided that rather than have it be out in the open, to make it more subtle as the story progresses. After watching an episode of Samurai Champloo with my co-writer, he developed the character Kodin as an opposite to Namiko as a homage to the series, and we added a third main character to be a healer for the two fighters.
But looking back, I also added elements from previous story ideas I had, I won't say what they were given potential spoilers, but it's going to be very interesting later on.
