Man. I've watched the first fifteen minutes, and this... this is weird stuff. (I guess that, while American superhero origin stories always must involve a supernova and/or something radioactive, Japanese superhero origin stories must involve a mystical warrior and/or a giant robot. Still... what?) The fan subtitling is hilarious, though. "Don't forget to clean your ears!"

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAhAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
OMG what the fuck is this? See? It's made me into a spluttering idiot with AIM talk and swears...oh god. This is...this..."The Marveller?!" What the hell? Who came up with this? Toei? Oh god...DID YOU SEE THAT TRANSFORMATION SCENE?! The suit flies up, lands on him, and in a really BAD piece of cinematic effect he magically becomes spider man. It's like Power Rangers, only there's only one guy, and he's in the Spider man costume.
Oy...I loved the beginning and ending subtitles. Thank's for linking this. It's rekindled my amusment with the Japanese.

Hahahaha. That was good. So Siderman is basically a very stong ninja with a giant Robot. It seems the most important skill you need to master is the backflip!

You know I heard about this, but never saw it. Thanks for the link!
I have to say, aside from the hokey Toei stuff, the effects (for thier time) and clever camera angles for the "spider stunts" are generally better than the 1979 American version . :D
