They show what looks like Harry on the Goblin Glider, although he doesn't have the pointy green Darth Vader helmet his old man wore. So it might be him as the movieverse version of Hobgoblin.

Quickie link for trailer Well, they fucked up the Symbiote suit, like I thought they would. I'm now much less excited for the movie.
I'm thinking that it's the original suit with the symbiote coursing through it. So the symbiote doesn't actually make the costume. It's okay though. However, I always thought that the black costume was the best.

"If you want your original costume, to be more recognizable, just think it." *poof, original suit* "Or even if you want a change of pace" *poof, symbiote*
Peter: "..."
Yeah. He was even able to change into street clothes so he'd never have to 'take off' the symbiote. Except maybe to shower. :D
The symbiote has a weakness though. What was it? Loud noises or something? Oh dear, did I just spoil the movie ending? :P

super sonic sounds...but they'll probably find some cheesy way to change that.
I've liked all the Spiderman movies, and i've been looking forward to the symbiote to appear since the first one. I guess its a good thing that i know less about Spiderman, than i do about X-men. And im gonna try not to compare the comic or the tv show too much to the movie.

Yeah, didn’t they already work the important aspects of her comic book version into the movie version of Mary Jane? It seems really silly to have her in it. If the point of introducing her is just to kill her off at the end, count me out. Without Gwen being Peter’s first love (like in the comics), it doesn’t have the same effect.
I'm also doing that other comic "Space Waffles ".
We now have a podcast called The Random Pirate Comics Show!

My idea: Make Gwen Eddie Brock's love intrest, have Harry kill her, spider-man blames himself, Eddie Brock Blames spider-man as well, Eddie gets the venom suit, and goes after Spidey.
Gives Eddie a better motive than "hes a better photographer than me" (I know theres more too it, but thats basicly the root of it)

Fuck emo-Man. Have Spidey the wisecracking smartass he is in the comics and I would be overjoyed.
Ah, but that would take away the emotion in the film, now, wouldn't it? And we mustn't make a superhero movie without heaps and heaps of grief and anguish. Why, the critics would think it wasn't being serious or something! You can't have a fun movie win awards!

I have a feeling that Venom won't even be introduced in this one. It will just be the symbiote story for now. My guess is that Venom will be Spider-Man 4.

You're going to be disappointed, then. Venom's tongue has been removed. It looked great in the comics, but when you have a realistic-looking CGI tongue on a real world it starts to have all sorts of sexual connotations. They're playing it safe by not doing the tongue.

I hate when other people's perversions ruin the fun for other people, why can't people just enjoy big long slimy pink things wirthing around as if under their own control for what they are without thinking "OMG IM OFFENDED OR SOMETHING", honestly anyone who thinks that stuff like that is sexual is the one who is perverted.

Getting back to the weakness to supersonic sound, I believe that in the trailer we can see Pete ripping off his symbiote suit in a church, most likely a belfry. As you may recall, Spidey originally defeated the suit in a belfry by hitting the bell, and hauling ass once it fell off him. So I'm gonna go ahead and say it's still weak against sound.

Sandman is one of Spidey's old school enemies. He hasn't seen much light of day since the whole Identity Crisis fiasco, probably won't since he's getting paid to stay dead for the time being. It'd be weird to have one of the symbiotes bond with Sandman since both are shapeshifters in a sense.

I've a photoshopped image of the teaser poster with the large white symbiote on Peter's chest. I've had it on there since the trailer featuring the sandman, green goblin 2, and the first appearce of the symbiote costume.
For those of you that didn't notice it: Harry Osbourne is indeed green goblin II. In the comics when he was the green goblin he rode on a rocket, much like the one in the trailer. Upon finding frozen stills of the trailer, it is indeed Harry on the rocket.
I'm just curious how Eric Foreman will play Venom. Or more importantly, Bruce Cambell as mysterio.

Well, in Ultimate Spiderman Mysterio was a villain in a fictional Spidey movie made within the "Ultimate" universe; he was played by Bruce Campbell, if I recall correctly. If Mysterio does show up, I think it will be in that context and not as part of the "real" movie.

Personally, I like the Shocker as a character because, over time, he has become the least "crazy" of Spider-Man's enemies. He doesn't have a personal vendetta against Spidey, and he only wears a costume because his bones would shatter if he didn't. He's a real professional and, unfortunately, because he looks kinda silly, writers and fans often ignore him in favor of more "cool" characters.

Anyway, for those of you who can actually keep on TOPIC(which you'd think one of the amin lackies wouldn't have a problem doing)there was a rumor that Campbell might be Mysterio, but it seems as the full villain cast has been set with Sandman, Venom, and Green Goblin II who might actually be the movieverse version of Hobgoblin. Sandman is apparently going to be a bad guy that Spidey tussles with in the first part of the movie, but after getting the symbiote/black costume, his struggle moves inward and has to deal with Venom, and Harry Osborne who also is rumored to be behind the actual creation of Sandman's powers in this story.

3)GHreen Goblin II was actually Henry Osbourne. Henry went crazy after finding out his dad was the green goblin. Then the "mask" took over his mind and he thought he saw his dad...(the actual truth is that one of the Kingpin's devices allowed the spirit of Norman to come into Henry...)...
I think you're thinking of the Saturday Morning Cartoon version. In the original Harry just went crazy after finding out his Dad was the Green Goblin.

No. Those are exaggerated artistic-licensed comic book fangs. The movie version would be slightly different. AND, Brock is only about halfway taken over by the symbiote in that pic. He hasn't fully transformed in that pic. AND given the fact that the movie won't be around for another year, that's probably as much as they're going to show between now and probably early next year.

What I'm wondering is why Brock would have the fangs. I had always thought that the fangs were a part of symbiote itself, and if it were to pull back he would just have normal teeth underneath.
