So I was doing the usual with drawing my comic, and then I usually run it through photoshop to correct some mistakes.

I usually draw on top of my tablet using a back end of a sketchbook so I don't damage the tablet.

So I scan the image, instead of tossing the piece of cardboard aside, I keep it on and started fixing things up. Then I was like "hey! this feels like i'm drawing on paper."

Then I'd thought I'd share my discovery with you guys, cause I know some people have a hard time adjusting to the tablet because it's too "slick"

Here's a picture to show you what I did.

One thing to be careful about with that though:
It will wear down your pen nib faster.

Careful of that. On my old Intuos 1 tablet, the cover built up some rough patches over time (but not even as rough as paper), so that while it took the first nib years of constant use to wear down, the second one wore down much, much faster.

-heh, I finally wised up and just turned the cover over. der... -_-
And a week later I got a new Cintiq, so it didn't matter anyway. Doh! >_<

This seems like a better idea than mine. I was just taping sheets of sketchbook paper to mine, I would have to keep changing the paper because it would get worn out. It really does make a difference though.
without buttcheecks, it's just a hole.

I have the same Intuos and I draw directly on the surface. These things are tough.

I tried something similiar befor I got my Cintiq... but I could never get used to watching the screen while drawing... hence the Cintiq.

I now use it every time, except for the very rare fleshing out of ideas on scrap paper.

You can get special nibs for the pens which have a 'stickier' feel, more like pencil, they wear out after a month or two but are well worth it. I buy them in packs so its not too dear. ( I bought three packs a couple of years ago and I'm still on the first pack)
