as for the rest of it? i dont know. i dont ever wanna jump on a fan's back if i dont have to. im happy there'd be ANY demand for it.that just might be a signal to me that i can make a profit offa it and i'd sell em, maby. but if i felt my toes were being stepped on, yeah i'd approach the fucker about it.

I think it was someone on the Spinnerette forums who recently brought this up about the author's main character getting hentai created by someone on the net. The conclusion was, "Congrats, you're officially popular now."

I don't think it would bother me, really. My piece isn't exactly Family Circus and I do sort of like seeing other renditions. Besides, some of that stuff winds up being drawn pretty well. I'd probably be more honored than anything resembling shame.

Well I honestly would not mind. I'm not a fan of those pics ut if someone takes the effort of drawing it, why undermine his ability. In the end it's just fan art & everyone can live with that.

I probably wouldn't mind. Sure, I'd be a bit weirded out, but in the end it's publicity, and you can always use a bit of that.

I would consider it a sign that my comic has advanced in popularity.

A character hasn't really made it as a cultural icon until somebody has done a porn version of it.

So, in a weird sort of way, I would actually be happy to see this occur.

Honestly, I wouldn't care if someone made porn outta my comic(means my comic got popular enough for someone to do that). But if it were really freaky I'd just stop searching my comic's name...forever.

As long as they're not trying to make money off of it I don't mind.

I would be extremely angry and disgusted, aside my brain also forming the clinical picture of that someone's mental state.

I'd contact this person and forbid them to do it again. And if they were a fan, I'd do the same. And if they were my most vocal fan, I'd do the same.

Twisting someone's characters into sick fantasies is in the least an obscene abuse of someone's brain children.

I hate to see it done to anyone's characters, from the most famous/infamous to the most unknown.

I'd very against it too. Aside from it being very out of character in my comic, my main character is currently nine years old, and a few people have even mistaken her for a little boy. I'd be very creeped out if somebody was fantasizing about her like that.

I was talking with my brother about this awhile ago and he made the observation that even though there are four girls on the crew currently most fan fiction and porn comics whould feature the two guys who are parodies of myself and him. At first that realization made me feel quezy until he got one of his friends to help him write one. When I mustered up the courage to read it. It was pretty funny either because he just did it as a joke or because of the whole weird sitiuation. So I can now say this from experience, I'd get a laugh if people made porn out of my work.

In 95% of the comics out there, it's not much of a twist. Most drawn characters are already physical (and sexual) ideals. They aren't in any way physically relatable to the reader, they exist as eye candy meant to prey on people's libido. It's hardly sick that people would fantasize about such characters, more like human nature.

None of us should be so revulsed or surprised because if you seek you will easily find porn in existence already based on whatever genre your comic is and even in places closely paralleling your stories and characters.

A lot of the hideous sexual acts that could be imagined to grow out of any historical comic have in all likelihood actually happened. And all fictional events have their parallels in history. Our species has a very dark sexual history and it is horrifying to find out that what we think is violent pornographic fiction is just a depicition of something that really happened.

Honestly I'd be flattered. In fact I think I might write a script and try and shop it around to various porn producers.
