It seems to have SOME stealth elements(sneaking up on the enemies?) I don't know, isn't a sneaking game supposed to have, I don't know, more sneaking?! I thought the old formula worked, why not just use that with added twists? Why did they have to ruin this?

I think this game emphasizes more of the 'hiding in plain sight' sort of philosophy. Plus, according to the story, he's on the run, and when you're on the run, you don't creep around shadows in a special suit, you run through a crowd in regular clothes and hope no local law enforcement is around.

I've heard of major plot twists, but turning the whole Splinter Cell story around, pushing it 2 years forward and turning Sam Fisher from a Third Echelon agent to a (according to a promotional poster) fugitive taking the matter into his own hands seems a bit like.. a rather big twist.
I've seen the teaser videos that are out so far, and it does look a bit like Sam Fisher has been replaced with Jason Bourne. So far it doesn't look much like the older games, at all. But on the other hand, it might be a game to look forward to.
