Yo, yo, kids.

Here's some comic books that are real great and only a few issues long. I wouldn't be surprised we'll see the trade paperbacks soon.

Revelations: Ramos does the best and most interesting art out there. Anyone whose read Crimson, Out There, or. . . Um. . . Crimson, will know what I"m talking about and might already have this series that just finished up. It's six issues long and has a very Da Vinci Code feel to it. If you like Da Code, then but the crap out of it. If not. Whatever.

Mouse Gaurd: It's not done yet and is only two issues of six, in but so far it's really great. Lots of action and an interesting stoy and beautiful watercolor style coloring makes this book a very good buy. And only six issues!

Marvel Zombies: That is all I need to say. For real. Best Marvel comic idea ever.

Hatter M: Is two issues in and a part of the larger upcoming novel series called "The Mirror Wars" follows a Hatter {gaurd} of princess Alyss who didn't fall into Wonderland, but was kidnapped into our world. The art is done buy Ben Templesmith of 30 days of night still has his creative art direction with a more whimsical story. And an evil knife fighting monkey.

That's it for now. Go check these out. And lemme and everyone know what you think of them.

Revelations is really awesome. I definitly second that nomination. And yeah, it struck me as a bit Da Vinchi-codeish only better.

As for Marvel Zombies, Aurther Suydum did some great covers for that.

Tater Salad
I Feel Sick - Another spinoff of JTHM, only two issues long. About Devi, "The one who got away" from Nny. Deep and psychological, but still a bit funny. Just not as much as the others. "I'M GONNA RAPE YOU UP THE BUTT THEN THROW YOU OUT THE WINDOW!" being screamed by a boss was a highlight.
I like that one. I've had those experiences!

Lullaby rocks! It's wonderfully illustrated, and has a compelling story. Although it's in the middle of a whole lot of Oz and Wonderland comics that have been flooding the market lately, but it's still a great comic. Check out the Pied Piper one-shot too!

Lullaby really has surprised me. Very much an "after happily ever after" story.

Since people are talking about that Dan Brown vs. History thing (Da Vinci Code), let me recommend Rex Mundi. An interesting alternate history involving the Templars, Gnosticism, dark sorcery, King Louis XXII of France, the heir to throne via the Merovingian line, the Inquisition, a Rabbi, and two honest physicians.

Jack Staff and Avalon are both interesting books revisiting the British super hero comics of the 60s.

I just read Frank Miller's 300. I didn't think much of it in its original release format, but the oversized hardcover adds a lot. A classic story, and a gorgeous book.

Definitely check out Lions, Tigers, & Bears. It’s a great all ages title. The first series is already in a trade, and the second series is currently on issue 2. Oh, and Mike Bullock is a nice guy. I met him at Emerald City ComiCon

I'm also doing that other comic "Space Waffles ".
We now have a podcast called The Random Pirate Comics Show!

Scott Pilgrim is totally worth getting too. For fans of Blue Monday, you'll totally dig it. Volume 3 comes out soon.

I really like Yotsubato! (or Yotsuba&!)

I found English printed books at a comic thingy this weekend, before I had just been reading a stash of fan translations. I kinda like the fan translations better, the proper ones lose a bit of the humor.

Invincible really is up there, when it comes to super hero books.

I got reminded of a good one, doing my weekly reading: Queen and Country. Good, realistic espionage stories, all about the politics and people of the British SIS. Also, the new artist is brilliant.

Also, for the first time in two years: Liberty Meadows is back! Who knew?
