well, I was working more on updating Magical Mania before I got around to updating Aurorean Tales today, when I realized that the pictures where I tried to have my guy cradle the main girl in his arms, ended up looking really odd.
and I tried google like I always do if I'm not doing an pose right.. but for some reason I didn't come up with such good results.
so that got me to thinking.. what are the sites that you often use for refferences if you're stumped on poses?
going away - Art & Literature Corner
so whats a good site you use for refferences?

I go to deviantArt. There's bunches of stock photgraphy people there who post hundreds of pictures of people simply posing. Even if you don't find a pose you like, you can use the pictures to check your proportions.

yep I have. I think the problem is in the fact that it's pretty much an graphic site, even the layout itself has tons of images. or it could be in the coding.

Hmm, I would suggest searching around Webshots.com or Flickr.com, which would take some searching, but it is easy on the graphics. (I run dial-up and webshots.com loads pretty fast.)

Very true. Lag is the thing I hate most about deviantArt. Also, all the art theft and silly dramas going on. Also, the whole "devious" theme they've set up, as if we can't enjoy doing something unless we think we're being bad.
But if you set yourself up an account you can customize it a little. You can greatly reduce the amount of graphics to load by disabling thumbnail shadows and deselecting signatures and avatars so that they aren't shown. I also like to set it so I'm automatically taken to the zoomed-in artwork.
But aside from that, I've often found the poses I'm looking for by doing a Google image search. I just type in "jump kick" or "jogging" and I eventually find something that's at least close to what I want.

Ive been using Google a lot recently. Its a really quick way to get the reference picture you seek, be it people, clothes or buildings.

I usually just use google. Sometimes deviantart is cool though.

I watch 1970s-1990s science fiction movies, old episodes of star trek and doctor who, mainly for story purposes though, character design tends to be based off storm troopers and other armoured sci-fi Goons, should the subject of weapons arise http://world.guns.ru/main-e.htm [world.guns.ru] is my first choice, possibly the most detailed libary of guns in the world.
Of course you will. All intelligent beings dream. Nobody knows why.
