I was just wondering if anyone was following the steam holiday sales, or if anyone's purchased anything. My actual gaming desktop is not set up right now, but I've bought a bit for myself. (Don't really have any gamers to gift.)
To see what the sales are right now go to http://store.steampowered.com/ . Or, you know, just open up steam if you have it.
My purchases:
Battlefield: Bad Company 2 $6.80
Magic the Gathering: Duels of the Planeswalkers $4.99
Expansions for MTG: $7.50 total (Should have bought the full pack, but I wasn't thinking)
Batman Arkham Asylum : GOTY edition $7.50
Total spent: $27-ish
I may still be getting one of the indie gaming packs (they're only 5 dollars for about 4-5 games), but I don't want to lose track of my spending.
going away - The Game Room
So how about those Steam sales?

I bought Super Meat Boy and the F.E.A.R. series. I can't remember how much I paid, but it was super cheap.... so cheap, I feel like kind of a sucker for ever buying a full-price game on Steam.
Super Meat Boy is infuriating.

Hahahahaha. Forgive me for laughing, but I can do that because I, too, have suffered the pains of this game.
If it helps, my death counter is nearing on 3k.
The only thing that saves my controller with playing this game is the fact that once you finally complete a level, it shows all of your failures in synchronizing fashion. Somehow it makes me laugh.
But back to Steam sales...there's some nice stuff in there, was tempted to buy the ten dollar games (like Bioshock 2 and some other RPGs), but it turns out the stuff that I really want are games I've purchased already. Instead, I just gifted a few to others. These deals seem to support indie games rather well though, so I might pick a few of those up. And that Popcap bundle is calling to me every day.

I haven't bought anything, but I got me a whole bunch of wonderful, magical items in TF2.

Total: 180$ spent on me, 70$ spent on friends.
Shame on everyone who bought tf2 items. :)
