Huh... wonder why this was locked? I don't want to encourage making essentially a blank post, but it's not too hramful here.

Eh, I'm getting a bit tired of all the FPSs. Especially when they seem to be focusing more on online play and streamlining the offline options or the offline coop and vs. Most of my friends don't have PS3s, so I prefer games I can play offline. Resistance 2 has 2-player co-op, but it's a little disappointing that the main campaign has no co-op and the multiplayer is designed for four people, but you can't play four player split screen.

Plus, with most of my friends back in the DC area, I'd just as soon play Little Big Planet (which is easier to get my local friends into), Valkyria Chronicles, or Eternal Sonata. I am kind of interested in Mirror's Edge, though. I'm not sure that really counts as an FPS, however.

What Isukun said.

Heck, even on Little Big Planet where I always have the opportunity to play online, my most fun moments have been in local multiplayer.

Unless a FPS can throw me something substantially new and innovative (like Portal or Team Fortress 2) I'm probably going to ignore it.

While not TOO horribly innovative, it does have a few new and interesting things.

The "Skirmish" multiplayer mode is pretty awesome. Basically the two opposing teams are split up into squads, and each squad is given an objective that is set against another squad (Usually kill a certain player, capture a beacon thingy or somesuch) that changes over the course of the game. It's hard to describe WHY it's so awesome, but it is.

The 8 person online co-op is badass, though I admit I've barely touched it. Again it's hard to describe why it's good.

And the story has entirely fucked my mind. I can't tell if it's new or not, because I'm still not entirely sure what's going on, but whatever it is it kicks ass.

I'm not usually into a lot of FPS's either guys, but this one's really awesome.

The solo campaign was pretty entertaining while it lasted... makes part 1 look like Halo 3, heh, but all joking aside -- killing Cloverfield was the best.

Oh god yes, that was amazing.

Though at the end when you Randomly have magical superpowers kicked unbelievable ass. Also, any idea what the hell was up with the extra planets and shit? I want to think that the earth was transported to the chimeraverse or something after Daedalus talking about the "Skies glowing with our stars" or whatever.

Also, played co-op for reelz the first time today. Oh my gawd it's so unbelievably awesome.

I got about three levels in and just stopped giving a rat's ass. Please tell me this gets better and stops being Halo for the PS3.

lolfarce

Srsly never saw much Halo in it, was closer to CoD4 with crazy guns and alien mutant thingies.

I've honestly never had this much fun with an FPS before, I'm even enjoying this more than CoD4 now.

Protip: If you don't like the campaign, play some co-op. srsly
