Should you always border your comic page before drawing on it? Basically that's the question and I just wanted to get an answer ASAP before beginning my own comic project. Should you border the page/paper before drawing on it? Thanks you guys.

Just do what works best for you. There's no rules about 'how' to do a comic page. I border mine because that's easier for me, and I end up scanning it to ink in the computer anyway so it's easy to make changes. I can imagine that others don't border it because it lets them have more freedom in drawing.

I personally draw each panel on it's own page. Then I scan it all in, and load it into photoshop to play around with. Then I border it. Then ink, colour, backgrounds, etc...

I draw the "safe area" box on the page and then just pencil in panel borders as single lines... actual panel borders are drawn later in photoshop on a separate layer. works best for me :)
