I've finally decided to plug (or what have you) Shinsengoofy. Chapter four is just starting!

Shinsengoofy is the story of a turbulent time in Japanese history and how one man changes history as it is known. When Commodore Mathew Perry opened up the Japanese shores for trade with the westerners, rebels in the southern parts of the island kingdom bannded together under the slogan "Sonno Joi." Sonno Joi, meaning revere the Emperor and Expel the Barbarians was what they would use, along with their swords, to take down the Shogun and the government.

The Aizu clan, a close ally of the Tokugawa Shogunate instated the famous Samurai police force known as the Shinsengumi, to save the imperial capital, Kyoto, from the rebel presence.

Shinsengoofy's story begins here when Masakuni Soujiro, the "biotech samurai" of the Aizu clan, comes to Kyoto to join the Shinsengumi and runs into a lot of trouble along the way.

Shinsengoofy (a play of the word 'Shinsengumi' ) is Japanese history dropped on it's head, librally sprinkled with comedy, swordplay and even add a dash of shonen-ai. (Do you know Ito Kashitaro?) XD

Also: READS RIGHT TO LEFT. I started drawing this way and it felt most natural. No complaints!
