Has anyone out there other than me been reading Scott Pilgrim, Bryan O'mally's humor masterpiece? Honestly I've never laughed harder at a comic or webcomic before.
If you haven't heard of it you should check out the website, where they have a free sample issue along with ways of ordering the books. http://www.scottpilgrim.com

Well, it was okay. Not as bad as Tater makes it out to be, but honestly, it doesn't seem worth getting too excited about at this point. Certainly not what I would call a "masterpiece". Don't get me wrong, I'm all for small press comics, but when someone tells me it's the funniest thing they've ever read, I'd expect a lot more than this. I'd definitely expect more from something nominated for an Eisner. The rest of the series must be a hell of a lot better...

I actually managed to snag a copie of the Free Comic Day thing they did of it too. I don't know if it's going to be put in an upcoming volume of the graphic novels either.
If things go as they have been, that means Scott has to take on about 4 more of Ramona's exes. So about 4 more volumes, unless more than one of them plans on attacking at a time.

There are 3 more volumes left to go.
The free comic book day issue might not be as funny if you haven't read the other 3 volumes. Then again it might just be a matter of taste. Me and my best friend Rin think it's the funniest comic since...ever, but then I lent it to my ex-girlfriend and she hated it. :/

At least they did an original story for that Free Comic Book Day publication. Most of the other ones, even by the main companies like DC and Marvel, were either reprints of some of their old stuff, or just previews of their upcoming titles.
