G'day.

School Spirit has been running elsewhere on the net for four years now and has over 600 strips in its archive. I've only just begun mirroring it here on Drunk Duck though. This is its first thread here to get some of fellers to have a look at it.

It's an Australian comic about primary school children and the spirits in the cemetery next door. I'm a primary school teacher myself, so hopefully the kids and the school-based situations they get into read fairly accurately and realistically. The humour is light hearted and fairly innocent.

Currently I have only put up the first three storylines to give Drunk Duckers a chance to begin reading in smaller chunks. I'll be adding more storylines regularly to give readers from here some regular content without flooding them. As of now, there are another 47 storylines still to move across, so there'll be plenty to read.

Anyway, here's Drunk Duck's first look at School Spirit. Just keep in mind that the strips you'll be seeing here now are nearly four years old and it's progressed and tightened up somewhat since then.

Hopefully though the 60 strips there so far are enough to give some of you enough of a taste to follow it for a while.

Last thing... if you're wondering when the spirits turn up in the story, the first doesn't appear until strip #50. The kids are the focus of the first few stories.

Feel free to say stuff, just keep in mind there's little I can do about the first 60 now as there's another 540 odd already produced! :)

Okay... the first year of School Spirit archives are now up on Drunk Duck. That's 94 strips (14 of them 'Special' strips, 80 regular story strips) over 6 chapters.

I was going to change the title to suggest but don't seem to be able to... so if you've got any comments about what's up so far, I'm more than interested to hear what you've got to say. Hopefully it will fit into the general content of Drunk Duck because I'm not all that up to date with what sort of strips DD generally caters for.

Anyway, I'll add a few more storylines next week - to give you time to get into these ones first. Still three and a half years to put up.

Added three more storylines to the archive last night;

A Walk Through The Bush;
The Ghost Of The Murderer's Hut;
Dreams of France.

This brings the Drunk Duck archive up to 200 regular strips (plus the odd extras). Another few storylines will probably go up early next week.
